I find it useful, especially with twins, but I find it annoying when working on the boat, and will sometimes just up-plug it, because mine beeps every few seconds when only one motor is running, even with that key off. Unless you are the original owner, maybe a previous one, or a mechanic...

Best bet for a split hatch would be Rusty Ron’s/Island Marina(252-706-5706), here in Morehead City. He buys all of Grady‘s leftover parts, blems, returns, etc. from the factory. Has a huge warehouse of Grady parts, but is not cheap, pretty much in line with Grady pricing.

My last comment, but Matt did picture himself, or someone else, cutting on a slalom. Sooner than later, most people graduate from the tube to a ski, or a wake board, where rope height is critical. If I were considering adding a pylon to a Grady, I would want it to extend as far down as possible...

There are good reasons, for the skier, the boat, and the driver, why nobody makes a ski boat with an attachment point on the transom, much less behind the outboard. If the ONLY reason for a pole is to get over the OB, serious skiers wouldn't be hooked to a pylon, or a wake tower, right behind...

SeaDog makes what appears to be the same, for under $10. I have a couple of new spares, since I sold the Grady, that I can send you, but I am out of the country for the next 2 weeks.

Did they verify that the overboard discharge from your holding tank was physically secured?

Put the cushion in a trash bag, with the bag opening opposite side from the zipper. Stick the shop vac hose in the end of the bag, and suck it down. Hold the bag closed until you get the cushion in, and pull the bag out of the zipper opening.

Chances are about 99% that those two valves shown are NPT threads on both ends, judging by the amount of thread showing on the thru hull. They screw on about two turns and jam, and make a very poor connection. You need a seacock with NPS straight threads, that will screw down a couple of inches...

Since you have the house garage for your truck, I assume that you will park the boat just inside the door, and use the back half for work space. Hope everything else works out.

If you must use a light bar, you want it low enough, and far enough back from the front edge, that the top shields the front of the boat from any direct light, which will kill your night vision.

The big blue "Click Here to Continue" box locks up my computer, and directs me to call Apple support to unlock. Only a shutdown and a re-start clears it, so I predict that things like that, along with the ads, will be the death of this site, at least as far as new recruitment is concerned.

As for a lot of things, exercise is the best medicine.

If the owner was like most of us, those 8 hours would have happened in the first 2 days. Unless a read-out tells you differently, the boat has likely sat for about 16 years. I would still be interested.

It may be, but I can’t see where it is actually broken. The plastic bushing is definitely worn out, and the bracket has been tightened to the max to compensate. Would a new plastic bushing solve your problem?
