why not 5200? you will never take the strips off. regardless of what you use, dont skimp on it also, i wouldnt recommend full length strips as water would have a tougher time draining past them if the boat is relatively level. i would do small strips.

i dont have an answer to your question, but when you do repair it, make sure you seal it so you dont get water intrusion

a rotted bang plate is almost a guarantee of water intrusion, and strongly supports the high moisture readings. to answer your question, yes, greenwood xl. as others have mentioned its pretty rot resistant, but getting wet can still lead to delamination. i think that the transoms remained...

so, full of fuel and 5400 rpm...what about full fuel, ice, gear, and a few guys? i always prefer an engine to be working easier than harder. a lower pitch prop would give you better hole shot and get your wot closer to 6k.

id call New Wire and ask them if its a paintable plastic. then paint it yourself. or see if a local car tint place can do a vinyl wrap on the front of it for you.

its my understanding that the transoms were reinforced when the ratings went up. the concern could be too much load on the transom with higher than rated hp. call grady and ask them. they have pretty good customer service
