    Yamaha engine cowl

There's some used ones on eBay from $500-$1,200+ depending on the condition. There's one that I'll link below for $1,200 that looks pretty decent, though I'm not sure what year it is or if it'll fit. New ones are about double that and run approximately $2,500. Have you gotten a quote as to how...

    Help a GW Newbie - De-winterization

Always make sure you start the boat up before you leave and take it to the dock to launch. Also, always make sure you start up the boat at the launch before taking it off the trailer. In September/October of 2023 I was taking my boat off the mooring buoy that it had been on all summer and it...

WTB Garmin 24 Fantom Dome Radar

That is again incorrect. If you do a Google search for a Garmin 943xsv you'll see that it's marked down from multiple reputable Garmin dealer websites like Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, The GPS Store, Walmart and even Amazon. They have it listed at $1,279.99 as opposed to the Garmin website which...

WTB Garmin 24 Fantom Dome Radar

Why not just get the Garmin Fantom 24x as it's still readily available just about everywhere? I would also disagree with the statement that Garmin units aren't discounted as they have sales every year for them through BOE Marine, Hodges Marine, the GPS Store and so forth. I got my Garmin 943xsv...

200 HPDI Yamaha Two Stroke Gas

I have a different boat and motor, but I always use ethanol free gasoline for my boat and, knock on wood, I've yet to have any issues with it. I believe you can do a Google search for gas stations with ethanol free fuel at them, which is what I'd recommend using.

2004 Grady White 257 Advance. Looking for Parts or Part numbers.

Here's a link to the 2007 Grady White parts manual online. I'm not sure if all of the parts numbers are the same between the 2004 and the 2007, but I do have a copy of the 2004 saved on my computer. I just tried searching for it on Google, of which I couldn't find it and am not sure if they took...

    long-haul tow Marlin 300

Apologies for the lengthy reply, though I do have quite a bit of experience in this regard, though admittedly with smaller boats. But, I've done the trek from east coast to west coast for boats 3 different times over roughly 5 years. That being said, each boat that I purchased was considerably...

Free 1987 Grady White 228 Seafarer for sale

If the ad wasn't a scam, someone just got a fantastic deal. The hardtop alone is likely worth at least a couple thousand dollars, and I imagine the radar as well as some of the other items are probably worth a couple grand as well. I'm sure whoever bought the boat could at the very minimum strip...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

There's also another boat in Florida that looks like it has white or very similar bottom paint to the hull color. https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2014-grady-white-fisherman-209-9700930/

    228 Seafarer to a 258 Journey?

The layout of the 258 Journey seems a bit better in regard to fishing as it appears to have a bit more fishing space, it doesn't have the molded in side seats like the 228 Seafarer has nor does it have the live well that takes up a good deal of room. It also has a rear flip down seat, which I'm...

Free 1987 Grady White 228 Seafarer for sale

Not mine, just passing it along to those that might be interested. Seems like a steel of a deal for those looking to repower a boat, those that are looking to put a similar hardtop on their boat, flip the boat, etc. It even has a radar dome on it that probably has some value to it as well...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

There's several around, but they all appear to have bottom paint on them. There's a 2008 down in NC that doesn't, but you mentioned you wanted the newer 2011 style. https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2008-grady-white-escape-209-9723641/

    Freedom 235 to 275...

Well yes... the 275 Freedom for some reason still has an 8'6" beam, even though smaller boats have wider beams than it does. You'd think it would have at least a 9' or greater beam like the 232 Gulfstream, or as you mentioned the 285 Freedom as well which has a 9'6" beam. Which kind of takes me...

    Freedom 235 to 275...

You mentioned in your first post that your buddy has a Sportsman, do you mean a Fisherman or a Freedom as well? Have you stepped foot on a 255/275 Freedom before? Not trying to dissuade you from going with a larger boat, just presenting another option, which also goes along with the idea that a...

    Freedom 235 to 275...

I mean... the OP did say he wanted to go with a slightly bigger boat that has twins on it, which the 255 Freedom does check off all of those boxes. The 235 Freedom has a centerline length of 23'7", whereas the 255 Freedom is 24'9" and the 275 Freedom is 26'11". So, the 255 Freedom could be that...

    Freedom 235 to 275...

Another option would be the "happy medium" boat which is in between the two you mentioned, and that would be the 255 Freedom? Slightly smaller in length than the 275 Freedom, but it does have same size of beam and it has an option for twin outboards. Might be the "Goldilocks boat" if you will...

twin 17yr old yamaha 150s with olny 200hrs would you trust them???

I'm guessing it's probably the same boat, and the one in Lake Stevens. Of which there's also a 2006 on Boat Trader in Virginia that has brand new twin F150's on it with 10 hours for almost $30k less. It doesn't come with a trailer, but I'm sure one of those could be had for less than $10k, and...

    Deck Material, what's your choice?

As mentioned by a few others... I don't have any desire to spend thousands of dollars to put down a product on my decks to then have the boat sit outside on a buoy for months on end, then in 3-5+ years spend another several thousand dollars to do it all over again. As I just mentioned, I have my...

possible repower of 282 sailfish or 300 marlin

Yeah... when doing a Google search for what you said, it came up with a bunch of different websites from Indonesia or something similar. Either that, or they do have some here in the US but those look to be scams as well, considering the email address is usually a Gmail one, or the physical...
