If you currently have a 25" shaft then thats what you need to replace it with. if you are unsure about what the propper shaft length is contact grady customer service, thats what they are there for and they are happy to help. its my understanding theres not 5" of wiggle room for the wrong length...

Maybe try a surplus or salvage yard for a set of starboard doors. If you have to resize them it machines like wood. probably not much more work than refinishing wood, and would last forever. I say this becouse i saw some for sale at a local place recently.Hope this helps.

I took my boat to them on my trailer. Total fabrication and installation time was 1hr 10 min. I will now pull all new wires and tidy the wiring up. Only thing is it makes the rest of my metalwork look old. :wink:

after much experimentation i wouldn't trust a harbor freight anchor! i save a lot of headaches by staying away from there.

If you email Grady customer service with your year make model and engine info they can probably email you a performance bulletin with all the info from when it was new. You can compare that to what you are getting now to make sure you haven't lost any efficiency.

my threads were damaged when i got my boat, so i got a small diameter "snap to close" baitwell plug and found a piece of pipe that it fit into securely. Then i used 5200 to cement the pipe into the grady drive. plastic pipe, plastic baitwell plug, no corrosion issues, and very easy to install...

I am considering repowering my 1992 dolphin 253gt seev2. Thats the same hull as a sailfish with a grady drive bracket. I was wondering if anyone has a 92 or newer dolphin or sailfish with twin suzuki 175s. I would love to hear opinions from someone who actually has this combination. Thanks, Jim

My boat shares the exterior dimension of yours. I trailer it often and have never had a problem. Although i'm sure the ocean looks better than the turnpike even if the leaves are changing. Good luck!
