    2005 Tournament 225 - Seastar Helm

I'm not around my boat to double check, hopefully someone else can shed a bit more light on the topic at hand, though I imagine a boat of your vintage will likely be a Classic Tilt Hydraulic Helm model? I'd obviously confirm this with another forum member, GW or SeaStar themselves before...

Atlantic for a deal! $3500 Not mine

Start a thread in the General Discussion part of the forum, as well as upload a few progress pictures when you get a chance. Would love to see what all has been done to the boat since you purchased her.

    Happy New Year

Dang... no love for the new-ish guy? Happy New Year's Dirty, as well as to the rest of the group here. God bless!

    Curtesy Light

Agreed. I don't have any experience with it in person, but the pictures make it seem like a fairly decent product/fit. The Perko one doesn't look too bad but the toggle switch on the outside looks like it would get broken off very quickly after installing. I think having something more similar...

    Curtesy Light

There's also a Perko brand dome light that looks decent, but I'm not a huge fan of the light switch design like it has. I think if it were me and I was replacing the entire thing as well as wanted to keep it plastic instead of metal, the second linked Sea Dog brand appears to be decent as well...

    Curtesy Light

Are you needing the entire assembly including the pigtail/switch as well as the light itself? There's a brand new one for sale on eBay for $60 but it looks like it just includes the pigtail/switch portion of it, and not the light assembly itself. The part number for the light appears to be a...

    2005 258 Journey replacement seats

I believe it's going to be a Pompanette T2000 for the ladder back style of seat, and the newer style is a T2005. Both appear to have supply issues or have maybe been discontinued. There's also a Springfield ladder back style of seat for around $500 that would likely also work. Are you needing...

    10 rod Rocket Launcher,

I believe in order to post something on here for sale that you have to have a price listed for the item. Either way, good luck with the sale.

Adding a full swim platform to a 2005 Grady 225 Tournament

I'd think your two best options would be either to contact your local Grady White dealership and/or I imagine just about any decent local fiberglass shop should be able to make something up like that, if you took the boat to them.

Downrigger Mounting on 97 232 Gulfstream

I always use a 15 lb downrigger ball and have never had any issues using them. Haven't really ever had the need to use a 20 lb, and if I did, I probably wouldn't be out fishing on a day like that anyway as the wind/weather is likely going to make the fishing rather difficult.

Downrigger Mounting on 97 232 Gulfstream

I've got a slightly different boat and setup... but I have two Scotty 2106 downriggers as well and have never really been a fan of the cheap, plastic bases that they come with... so I decided to go with a slightly different approach, using a company called Burnewiin and their downrigger mounts...

Looking for a decent boat cover

I ended up going with the Budge/Empire boat cover. It was right around that $360 price range and comes with a 5 year warranty. I ordered it a couple months ago, put it on the boat and was surprised by how nice of a cover it is for just over $350. I guess time will tell as to how long it lasts...

    Increasing Rod Storage

I mean… you can get a 5 or 6 rod holder rocket launcher on eBay for less than $100. I imagine for $100 you’re likely not going to get the best product out there, but for $400-$500 I’d think you would get something decent. It all just depends on how much you want to spend and what your budget is.

    What should I do? Repower

If you're thinking about going newer in the next year or two and are going to sell the boat, then definitely don't sink another $20k+ into it. Either fix what you've got, if possible, look for another powerhead or used outboard. Or you could always put the boat up for sale with a price...

    What should I do? Repower

It honestly depends on how much money you've got into the boat at this point. As you mentioned, if you repowered the boat, you're not likely ever going to get all of that money back out of it again. I'd fix what you've got and sell, or see if you can part the motor out for as much as possible...

    1995 Islander 268 re-power

One thing to consider, if I’m reading this correctly, is that the Yamaha F300 doesn’t come in a 25” digital control version, and is mechanical only? If the length of your current outboard is 25”, which I believe it is and you’re looking for digital controls, that would be something to consider...
