Full cover needed for slipped 2021 228 seafarer

This is a local business that has a great reputation: https://laporteproducts.com/ No affiliation other than I bought a console curtain from them for a center console. For slipped/lift kept boats they use sandbags you clip to cover loops to keep the cover taut.

    2021 GW Fisherman 257 Windsheild

Whether it’s glass or plastic, there are polishes for both that should remove water spots. My wife decided to remove some bugs from the windshield on her SUV using scotchbrite and I polished those out using a silica polish, iirc, and a Flex polisher. Plastic should be significantly easier to polish.

New Grady or Used Pursuit for First Time Boat Buyer/Owner

I looked closely at a DC235 5 years or so ago. Actually, I was lusting over the boat… Went to see one at our local dealer and the hardtop was too low on the leading and rear edges. I had to duck to get under the hardtop. Had some clearance once under it, but pictured clumps of my forehead stuck...

    Advice - Leaning towards a Tournament/Freedom 225

Here’s a 225 I owned a few boats ago. Don’t remember the exact year it was, 2016-2017 I would guess. The bracket offers more cockpit room for a 22’ boat. As to the layout accommodating 8 people, I think the boat was rated for that or more but how comfortable they are is a different question. If...

    Freedom 235 hardtop access

Not familiar with your exact hardtop, but on an Edgewater I had the hardtop pipework had a pipe that was open to underneath the helm console that the wiring for the hardtop devices was run through. I was adding a coax run for a VHF. Once you find the access hole, the fun begins….

Fitted trailer bunks for a 22' Seafarer?

Swivel brackets may be the cheapest way to get more hull contact and use existing bunks. Also, I had a trailer built for a 225 and the builder “pigeon towed” the bunks to best fit the SV hull. The forward bunk brackets were 2-3” closer together than the rear brackets.

    New Grady

Took a pic today of our new Grady Freedom 215. I ordered it in June and was told first week of August and was right on time. 80% of our boating is cruising with myself, wife and pooch, which drove seating configuration and engine choice. I’m trying to get my wife to operate the boat more so...

    Electronic steering

I have the DEC system on a single F250. I ordered it mainly to get the wife to operate the boat more. Her only complaint is she wants to captain more, so mission accomplished :) There are two settings on my system, regular and heavy. Regular takes 1 finger to steer, heavy takes two fingers...

    Raising ski pylon

Dennis outlines the proper procedure for extending the tow bar I posted a picture of. The picture is of the bar on a 215 and may be used on other models. I visited my local dealer to go over options for a factory order 215 and their in stock 215 had that tow bar. The salesman and I tried for a...

To add to Ekea’s post, the pvc guides help see the trailer when retrieving the boat and backing the trailer when it’s empty.
