It was mentioned earlier but I can’t say enough good things about the Skar audio speakers. Their CS is great too. You can buy about 3 pairs for what JL cost and you won’t notice the difference in sound…only in your wallet.

I recommend calling or emailing Grady customer service. They have been very helpful to me. I upgraded my standard stereo and needed the location of the rigging tubes and wiring. They sent me this which was a huge help in running new power cables and speaker wires

I’m not splitting hairs on the skeg vs bottom. Agree if you want more offset to the true bottom that gives you more. I think I draft about 22-24 inches of just hull. So if I leave the offset at 0, when the depth reads 3 it is really about 5. Given waves and rocking etc if I’m depending on that...

I never set the keel offset. That extra 6”-1’ is an extra safety margin. That’s really the number you want anyway. How far from the bottom of the boat to the bottom of the water. Top of water to bottom of water isn’t relative.

I live in FL and had the GE rocket launcher shipped in. No problem at. Great construction. Lined up. Used larger fender washers on both sides, 4200, and my locks topped with cap nuts. Looks factory.

I haven’t found any need to network the TM with the MFD. what are you using it for? With gps and and a remote you can move it around or hit auto lock. Use the MFD for fish finder or chart. If you are bottom fishing. Drive over the spot. Hit auto. Fish.

I know it’s not as big but my 96 holds great in waves. With all the windows in it gets push around a bit in high winds. But pretty much holds. was in 4-5 for ground swell off a reef in the Abacos this summer and we were locked on a spot.

Your deck mounting will probably need some kind of plate. Mine is about a 2in thick piece of starboard fitted to my deck. It hangs over the side a couple inches so the shaft clears the rub rail.
