    330 w/F250s (enough power)?

Yes....Yes....and YES.......Not only are the 250's enough power but so are the 225's. Plenty of people will come on here and tell you otherwise.....I've OWNED a 330 w/ 225's and it ran fine. Cruised at 29 MPH all day long regardless of load. I have also ran a 330 extensively with the 250's...

360 Express Rigged for Fishing input

I mounted some hook holders (4) to the insides of the port rest box for buck tails, etc. truth is there is a ton of space. Cextra rods go in the shower with shock cords and there is a ton of space for tackle. Between the drawers, removable boxes and other storage you can keep almost everything...

    Dawn dishwashing soap

UUUUhhhhh.....No......Dawn dishwashing soap will strip the wax off.....It's a known car detailing trick. In fact, we do it to the boat every year before waxing to start with a fresh surface. Any good boat soap will work well and you can use spray away or something like it for the hard stuff...

    Shore power problem for Sailfish

Not sure where it is in a 91 but there is a circuit breaker for shore power located under the starboard gunnel on the newer boats. If it trips you won't get power. If it isn't there it's probably near that batteries or somewhere in the stern compartments. Check under the gunnels first.

    Eisenglass

Eisenglass. It is not basic clear vinyl.....It is not plexiglass. Pledge does not hurt it - Ever.

    Eisenglass

I don't know....My Eisenglass is 6 years old. Used Pledge since day one.....No yellowing. I can say the same for plenty of other boats. I think Pledge is fine with Eisenglass....It's the older plastics you need to be careful of. Plexus works great but I found it only lasts a short time while...

New GW Owner needs help - 2003 30' Marlin

Pretty sure in 03 Yamaha had already moved to the fully electronic gauges. You should have two sets of bar graphs on the right side of one of your gauges - usually the speedo or tach. The left side is the main tank and the right is the Aux.

Anyone know what this thing is called?

Simple replacement. Take the old one out and measure the diameter. As another poster said, replace with either bronze or stainless and don't forget to double clamp whatever hose connects on the inside - Even if there is only one clamp on it now. Use 5200 to seal it in and you'll never need...

    really need guidance

It's not just raw HP that matters. Torque is as or more important and where it develops it in the power band as well. 150 is way underpowered for that boat. I think it's a little light for a 20 footer and I'm no speed demon. Other poster is right....Find a late model, low hours used 4...

    Life Raft Recommendation and Mounting

I have one (Revere 6 person coastal) mounted on the hardtop with the hydrostatic release. GW will tell you they don't recommend it but I know several people that have it there with no issues. Try to mount it so that one edge of the raft itself sits over the hardtop support. I used large...

    Advice for a 2002 Gulfstream w/single 225 4 Stroke

It'll run ok with the single but I have run the boat with the 250 as well as with twins and it is a night and day difference in performance and handling. The ride is way better with twins and it is much easier to handle around the dock. If you're getting a really good deal on the single it'll...

    Bad Gas

Dump it. Sorry but it's probably lost it's octane rating by now and the damage it can do is going to cost a lot more than the cost of the gas. "Polishing" it really only works well for diesel fuel. Dump it, flush the tank, change ALL the filters (You should have a separator (External) and in...

    Winterizing Question '99 Sailfish

The plunger is really pretty easy but you do need two people. I left two options in case you want to do it the other way. Just make sure to open up the seacock when you are done. For the AC you can also go through the sea strainer if it is easier.

    Fresh Water System Pump

This is either a defective nozzle or the faucets themselves. I would check the slide bar on the nozzle to be certain it is actually opening and closing the valve at the head. If that's not it I'd check the faucet assemble. The water supply lines for that can be accessed by removing the...

    Winterizing Question '99 Sailfish

Going to respectfully disagree on the S/W system. If there are any low spots it can be a nightmare. For all the S/W systems I would recommend using one of two methods: 1. Buy a "Plunger" connector (West marine) and have a friend help you. You hook up a 5 gallon pail with non-tox to the...

    Bilge & Cabin Heaters - 360 Express

I wouldn't over think this. You can get a portable cabin heater and set it at the entrance to the aft berth. Then, leave the access hatches open back there. That'll take care of your fresh water, salt water, and hot water heater. If it gets really cold for a short spell just pump out all the...

    Engine Winterization Work

I just did the complete winterization procedure on my 360 yesterday. It is not complicated and with the correct earmuffs you can absolutely run them off a hose. You will need to change the fuel filter and oil filter in the engine. Also change the oil. Make sure to drain the water from the...
