    270 islander weight

I’m by sure what you really want to know what trailer weight capacity you need. I have a 8200 Sea Lion dual axel trailer. Tires upgraded to “E” rated for 2,860 lbs each x 4 = 11,460 lbs. With all my stuff and the boat I’m sure I am close to the trailer rating. I’ll try to check when I’m back.

    270 islander weight

The full running surface was increase flotation and support the weight of the new 4-stroke engines. I think it was just sloppy on GW part and they didn't update the specs as the hull changed. I have not weighed mine on the trailer but I may this year. I have so much stuff on the boat it's hard...

    3 or 4 bank charger?

I'm using a ProMariner ProSportHD 20. They offer higher amperage models too for charging the trolling motor batteries. Distributed-On-Demand™ Technology: 100% of all available charging amps are utilized by distributing unused charging amps to any one or combination of all batteries as needed...

    3 or 4 bank charger?

I have 4 batteries but they are all separate (none paralleled). My 3-bank charger takes care of each engine and the house battery. A separate charger services a battery in a forward compartment for the bow thruster, windlass and stereo amp. I have charging shunts on both engines to charge the...

    270 islander weight

The weight weight quoted for the 1997 268 Islander Euro transom was 4,660 lbs. The 270 with a full length running surface would be a little heavier. None of the brochure weights make sense to me. As the HP increased the weight didn't change. When extra length and full running surface was added...

Is the inter tank bulkhead structural 1994 Grady White 228

I did fuel tanks on a 268 Islander. Different boat but similar problems. The process is documented here. Bulkhead removed and replaced. Step had to be cut to lift tank out. 1' square cut on gunnel to get to fuel fill hoses...

Well I would look under the deck! Follow the fuel line from the tank to the engine. Probably on the engine block.

    Lewmar 185TT bow thruster

This is for my Vetus thruster. First of all the shear pin is on the shaft behind the propeller. Talk the nut off the propeller to access it. If you are trying to take the motor off there is a locking collar between the motor and the lower unit/transmission. Unlock it. Pop the motor off. The...

    222 Tank '05

Hard to tell which end is the front of the boat. I'm guessing the fuel fill hose is to the front? Is the tank "loose"? Can it be pulled away from those blocks? What is the length of the tank? And length of the opening? Will the tank come out if that bulkhead is removed? Is there a removable...

    222 Tank '05

If you take those 8 HDPE blocks out you may be able to slide the tank and lift it out. Make sure you use a new Philips head bit that is properly sized, slow speed drill (careful with impact tool - not recommended), get in proper position, get behind the screws with perfect alignment and take...

Escape 209 total loss of electrical power, batteries 100%.

I assume you have a A/Both/B switch. They do go bad. Get behind it and measure voltage. Check voltage with some kind of load on it to be sure the battery is OK. Bilge pumps are fused not on the battery switch. Make sure battery connections are tight.

DIY SOS: Fuel Filler & Vent Hose Replacement on 2006 Sailfish 282 – HELP NEEDED!

Take a look at this thread. Skip down to post #39. This is a 268 Islander - basically a narrow beam Sailfish. In order to get access to the fuel fill's and hose I cut out a 12"x12" opening on the flat part of the gunnel. It's an easy repair if you make the cuts in the flat area. Glue Popsicle...

8 original hours on 2008 GW and Yamaha 200 questions

I just got title to an abandoned 2008 Rinker 280 Express Cruiser. V8 Volvo Penta gas engine. Boat hasn't been used since 2012. Sat on my storage property for the last 10 years. While I was waiting on the title all plugs were pulled and cylinders lubed with Miracle Mystery Oil and PB Blaster. Let...
