    Questions on Swamping and Submerging

Ran my 22 Grady Seafarer for over a dozen years in the long Island Sound out of Mamaroneck and hit lobster pots at least several times each season and never ever came close to swamping. Many times had to cut the road off of the prop too, which is much easier on a notched transom. Not saying it...

    Questions on Swamping and Submerging

I have first hand experience of completely filling the cockpit multiple times of a 22' Grady Seafarer around 50+ miles off the coast of NY/NJ in a violent storm with huge stacked waves breaking over bow for hours and I can tell you this: if we had not been in that notched transom Grady, I would...

    Fuel tank/lines - when do I replace?

I replaced fuel fill line on the 1989 Grady Offshore I recently sold, and was amazed how bad condition the original was. Came apart as it was removed. I would guess that any of our boats 15-20years old or more should probably have all fuel lines replaced, and fuel cell thoroughly checked. Just...

    24' walk around questions?

Yes, you are correct that it is less likely, but transom should be thoroughly checked on any model and boat that you may want to purchase. Fuel cells can be pressure tested by experienced persons.

Why'd this have to be a Grady?

Narrator appears to be extremely jealous, and makes a lot of assumptions. Is a pretty ignorant act though, especially if owner did this. :<><

Serious marine related product failure. What would you do?

Re: Serious marine related product failure. What would you It would appear your choices are 1, lawyer up, 2, post warnings to others online in places like here, other boating forums, ripoff.com, etc., 3, just move on, and remember who this merchant and manufacturer are. Seems pretty dangerous...

    Grady white transom is wet!!!!

If it's wet, it is highly unlikely that it will ever dry. I would contact Grady White and ask what their recommendations would be before making a decision.

    204 Fisherman info

Sold my 241 Offshore and looking to downsize to a used 19-20 footer, and came across this '90ish 204 Fisherman that is supposed to be in great shape with 225 Merc with new power head. I plan to fish & cruise nearshore, with occasional trips offshore when weather & water permits. Has anyone have...

WHERE TO GET REPLACEMENT COMBING PADS

I bought marine material online and redid mine myself, but I'm sure you can go to a marine upholsterer in your area and have them reupholstered.

Front and rear bilge bilge connected?

Normally bilge areas are connected by pvc type piping. On inboard models, there should be two pipe outlets coming through bulkhead into engine bilge area. One is from forward bilge area, and the other from fuel cell compartment. NOTICE that pipe coming from fuel cell compartment comes with...

    excess fuel removal

Seasick is correct. Boat from factory will have an anti-gravity valve installed on elbow off of the fuel tank, that will not allow gravity siphoning the fuel. Options include, 1. temporarily replace anti-gravity valve with straight through barb, and then siphon out fuel, returning anti-siphon...

    Covering Adventure with Tarp

Agree with gw204. best to build a frame to support cover and repel snow and rain, when using a tarp for winter storage.
