    Rub Rail end caps

I need a set. There are stainless caps on ebay that look like ours not sure if it's the same guy. I haven't compared measurements yet. I couldn't find any from Taylor Marine.

    Yamaha 200 HPDI / M.E.D.S issue...need help

Wow! That's a great deal. I believe it's about $350 new from Yamaha. That's why only the techs usually have it.

    Yamaha 200 HPDI / M.E.D.S issue...need help

I believe that is a pretty generic code reader. Yamaha has their proprietary system and I believe you have to buy their software to read hrs, codes, etc. Great engine, keep the fuel real clean.

    2006 282 Sailfish

Well Dave, how'd the survey go?? Did you get an independent engine survey also? Are you a new owner? Yea, yea, yea....the 33 Express is hot looking but there is something to be said for the practicality of a walk around. It would be nice to see a shoot out between the 33 Express and the...

Kicker motor and fuel pump switch

Yes, in my experience. This was known as the poor-man's twins. If the main engine breaks down the kicker will get you back. I believe that Tohatsu is very light, a great choice for a kicker. Are you rigging the steering off the main engine?

    blew my engine

Wonder what made it blow? Hole in crankcase is usually from a connecting rod flying around after it breaks from a piston seizing. Only heard of that happening at high speed. Shouldn't have a problem finding a replacement, lots of OX66's out there.

Kicker motor and fuel pump switch

I think you need to put a pump bulb between the kicker and the outlet on the fuel filter. The first time of use, you might have to bleed air out of the line. The fuel pump on the kicker should pick up the fuel from there.

    2006 282 Sailfish

Wonder what year? I've never heard of this happening on anything from the late nineties.

Check the classified. There's a guy selling a '98-'99 Marlin in the New England area really cheap. Believe it was because of health reasons. It was bumped a couple times and I'm not sure if it's still available.

    Swim Platform for 209 Escape

Might want to call Grady direct. There's also a huge marine accessory discounter in Florida that has tons of swim platforms.

    Swim Platform for 209 Escape

I had the factory issued swim platform. Yea, that and the attached fold down ladder Iook a little cheesy but it was attached to the transom with large bolts and never loosened or cracked. I see these all over the place and it's probably a generic thing available anywhere. I added trim tabs...

WHERE TO GET REPLACEMENT COMBING PADS

I had a marine guy do mine. Forgot the cost, thinking $400. I couldn't find anybody that would put the OEM mesh in the bottom so they drain. In lieu of that I had my guy install brass grommets about every 24" on the bottom. Do not let anybody tell you drains aren't required. Without drains...

    Painting OX66 lower units

Thanks Brian, especially about the factory recommended Colorite. The stuff is extremely expensive and I was just getting ready to place an order! How did you save the red stripe, mask it? Honestly, from the pic the color doesn't look all that bad! Wonder if the transition would be smoother...

    Waste tank

I think the best solution is a fresh water head conversion. Yea, a little pricey, but once it's done you don't have to stand there and watch the wife go through the drill whenever she uses the head. Push the button and done. Let's face it, the head is mostly for the women right?

    Painting OX66 lower units

Been putting this off for several seasons. I just searched and was surprised there isn't more activity on this subject. Please advise best brand of primer and top coat. Also a good procedure, prep, etc. I'm reading that the zinc primer should be tacky when applying the top coat. Wives-tale...

    Grady White Marlin 300 Modifications

Ok, how we doing with the pics. Gotta see the windows glassed in. When you installed the larger AC unit where did you cut the hole to supply the helm? Never seen the big Zukes on a Grady. How's the performance and are the scuppers under water?

    Waste tank

I'm late chiming in as usual. There are some guys that use an external pump and Y-valve. Search ahill, remember seeing his photos of the job. To me it looked to be too much a PIA and, and, by the time you buy all the parts, the price may approach a new pump. I just sent mine out to be...
