What's everybody doing on their Grady this weekend?

Thankfully not towing, we were headed to Lake Greenwood where our Grady is kept. I am looking at 2009 Yukon XL 6.2L, no AFM or a 2013 Sierra with 6.2, again no AFM. I will take a look at the Sequoias I know they are fine vehicles. btw, we came through Atlanta on the way back from Huntsville...

What's everybody doing on their Grady this weekend?

Friday afternoon last week, headed to the lake, heavy traffic on the interstate and not towing. Switched lanes and pulled in behind a truck with a solid steel rear end hauling some kind of equipment. As soon as we pulled in behind him he stops on the interstate, we didn't. No one hurt and the 2...

What's everybody doing on their Grady this weekend?

My Grady is sitting on the trailer, our Surburban was wrecked last week, (no one hurt) so we can't launch our boat at Lake Greenwood. We are looking for a friend to help launch her and pull her out Monday. What are y'all doing? Don't forget what Memorial Day is all about.

How many of youz guyz use your boat mainly in freshwater?

Re: How many of youz guyz use your boat mainly in freshwater These days normally Lake Greenwood, SC since we have a place there now and Lake Murray, SC but I refer the coast. I kept my 208 (along with Daman858) at Georgetown, SC) for a couple of years and cruised up and down the Intracoastal...

Once upon a time in Grady White Factory far far away

1983 was a good year, the year the Seafarer debuted. My wife and I lived in Raleigh, NC from 1980 til 1997 and went to the boat show every year. We always admired the Gradys, Albemarles, and Wellcrafts. Never did I think I would own one. Enjoy your trip Bob, she will take care of you...

    Freedom 235

I really like my 2000 Tournament. Plenty of room, easy maintenance, low taxes and insurance, and I don't have to worry about every little thing scratching up a "new" boat. It is built like a tank so I expect it to last for many, many years. The new ones are very nice and plush but I don't want...

    Freedom 235

That's why I bought a 2000 Tournament 225 in 2015. I would really like to have a new boat but I can't justify the cost. I also looked at a new 191 Coastal Explorer with trailer for 54K.

    Freedom 235

I spoke with my Grady dealer today, picking up a part and he said they would run about 110K and he has already quoted one but not sold yet. He also said the enclosed head was larger and was a heck of a boat.

    Freedom 235

The new models are very very nice but I prefer the basic boats with less vinyl, less maintenance. I have a 2000 Tournament 225 and a Carolina Skiff 1980. Both simple, plain functional boats. I don't like maintenance and having to pamper a boat. Each of my boats has a purpose.

    Freedom 235

Yes I got it also. I guess it is OK but not my cup of tea. I looked at a Freedom 225 at the Charleston Boat Show and it was close to 100K. I bet it will be 135-150K or so. Does look small, compared to ours it has no room.

    Parthery, our boat's sister.

Not yet, I have been traveling a lot lately and have not had time to address it. We are staying a lot at Lake Greenwood so I have not been trailering it much, we have the house that my in-laws built on the lake. Just to the ramp and back occasionally. It is on my list.

    Parthery, our boat's sister.

Parthery, I saw our boats' sister at MidCarolina Marine yesterday. Mine is BM502 and this one is BM504. Mine was made in June '00 (F900) and this one July '00 (G900). Where does your lie? http://www.hindecoder.com/ 2000 Tournament 225 with an OX66 225 $16,500...

    Looks like a good deal

I had a friend that fell out or off of a bass boat last winter and had a very hard time getting back in the boat. This made me start thinking about inflatable PFDs. My buddy said his inflated so fast his hair didn't get wet. I am wanting to go with the inflatable PFDs, these from West Marine...
