I bonded $10 blue LED strips I found on ebay to a small piece of fiberglass and used screws to attach under the gunnel. So simple - even an engineer can do it. :D

I get 20mpg on the highway in the Dodge when not towing, 17 mpg in stop-go. But it's not quite apples to apples since diesel is abotu $0.20 more per gallon here.

I've pulled my 228 with a F-250 at ~11 mpg and now the Dodge 2500 with 5.9L Cummins at ~16mpg. I've also used them both to pull a 24ft enclosed car hauler - short trips only. This is my first Dodge after two Fords. Anyway, in my opinion, the Dodge / diesel combo is just a better tow vehicle...

Pretty sure you can transient dock at the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum (http://www.maritimemuseum.org/) in Biloxi which is within (a long) walking distance to a few casinos. The "Isle of Capri" casino may also have slips open. You can run up the back bay into Gulfport to "The Dock"...

ovidgsd - no Yamaha here - still have the original Johnson Ocean Pro. Can't say for sure that the hour meter is original to the boat (2nd owner), but it sure looks like it is, and the accumulated hours make sense for the year.

Not sure what year you're looking at but my '94 has a hour meter that works (at least for the couple of years I've run the boat). So "newer" isn't really that "new".

My $0.02 - The switch on the Bennett system in my '94 went bad 2 years ago because a wire failed at the connector. I called to order a replacement and they sent me a replacement FREE even though I told them the boat was over 10 years old, I was the 2nd owner and had no idea how long the system...
