the thread pitch and diameter are identical, but NPS lacks the 1.8 degree taper, so a big tap will make that change easily. Yes it does remove a tiny bit of material but doubling the thread engagement would make the connection stronger, plus now you have threads that self seal instead of...
unfortunately they are not an NPT thread despite being advertised as such..... what they do is grind a 1.8 degree taper -same as NPT taper into the NPS threads. (the tips of the threads are ground down). while this improves the fit slightly, and does give you one extra thread of engagement its...
mines in the driveway for the BC winter too. once I get a few dry days the cover will go on, do a couple of oil changes, gear oil, then onto the list for maintenance related things. I had a great season, logging over 860miles travelled
I had a poorly installed toilet thru hull (from the factory). the inside of the hull wasn't flat where they drilled the hole, so when the nut was tightened it cocked the thru hull. I had to re bed the inside with some epoxy putty to made surfaces parallel., then I installed a new groco bronze...
Im also needing some cushions for my 2004 270 islander. I would have thought someone would have patterns and would be selling them ready to go but I can't find anything
im running brand new inertia eco 17"p.
they had a full 300hr service this spring.
checking the toe is something that's on my list, and I was contemplating raising the engines one hole. cav plate is at waterline while running but making heavy contact, if that makes sense.
slip numbers came out...
I replaced my port side scupper hoses with the same pvc Sani hose. may I recommend that you don't try to save the deck fittings and just cut them off and replace with new. or you can try what I did, ignore the same advice someone else gave me, try for 3 hours to save the fittings only to...

what model? could be the vent has been plugged with TP. remove the hose and blast it out with a garden hose. find your black water tank, its the 5/8" hose that come off the top. they're not big tanks. could it be that it is actually full and are actually filling normally?
I have a carver over the hard top cover on my 270. fit seems to be the same as KY's Grady... I found the radar dome pulled the sides up too high and there was too much fabric at the transom and it hung down, I think the fit would have been better without radar.
every engine needs its own starting battery (same thing as a cranking battery) then you want a deep cycle battery for the electronics, pumps etc.
using a deep cycle for cranking duty or having a long deep discharge off a cranking battery are both very bad for the longevity of said battery. use...
