Life Raft options on 330 Express

Aft fish box for me on my 300. I’ll use the livewell for ice and fish when ground fishing.

Local Grady White Dealer will not work on my Outboard

I probably know who you’re talking about. Had them service my previous Grady while under warranty until I found better and cheaper. If you can trailer you’re at a big advantage. Let me know if you need some names.

    Sump pump on 330

Shower sump? Should be easy to get to. My. Marlin has a Rule A Matic. If yours is the same the base is generally interchangeable and can stay. Just put a new float switch on.

    Inflatable options

I wouldn’t think removable davits would be enough for a RIB or useful enough for an inflatable bottom dinghy. I have a slat bottom roll up dinghy that fits in a bag, but it’s still bulky. I can store it on my bow walk around deflated in the bag. Rarely use it though it it could take a small...

Transom Rebuild - The Saga Begins

Looks really well done. Perfect gel coat matching.

    Broker boat knowledge on vessel

Ouch. I wouldn’t expect that from a Grady dealer. Have you been in contact with the owner of the dealership? If your costs are survey and sea trial related probably not much can be done. But maybe they could meet you somewhere in the middle for misrepresenting the vessel.

    Water guage

Should come up when you flip the breaker for water pressure and pressurize the system.

    My 330 Express Experience

Sounds like a great trip up. You should do a post on the experience

    Marlin transducer dilemma

I had a new Raymarine Axiom RV and radar installed over the winter. Boat is now in the water and my transducer is dead (B256). I'm thinking of my options, any advice? Photo is under my mid berth where the current transducer is, bottom of the photo being the port side: 1) Have boat pulled...

Are twin 225's adequate on 30' Marlin

I run 225's on a Marlin and it's fine. Look at your uses though. If you're Canyon fishing in the Northeast and squeezing every drop of efficiency to make the range work maybe not the best choice. Don't forget plenty of 330's were rigged with 225's as well. At this point most of the 225...

Inatalling Minn Kota rrolling motor and a grill on a GW 330 Exps

I believe the factory grills are Kenyon. I would love to do the same thing on my Marlin, but it's likely to be a custom job and pretty pricey. The grills themselves are pretty cheap. Here's a company: https://www.nauticaldesigninc.com

    Marlin 300 model refresh?

No knowledge but I somehow doubt it. My guess is they put the innovations into dual consoles and the larger express models. I would not be surprised to see the Marlin dropped altogether unfortunately.

New (to me) Grady - 2004 Marlin

Nice boat. What does she have for power?

Double Rung boarding ladder step replacement: Windline

I figured this may be helpful for someone. Lost a step on my boarding ladder. Manufacturer is Windline which appears to not be in business anymore. I found a replacement that fits well, from Bobo Ladders available online. Looks to be more comfortable to step on as well. Hoping the boat can...

I have a Marlin. No inverter.

To generate or not to generate

20k is a big purchase, but on a brand new boat I guess it’s not huge compared to the overall price. My kids love being able to heat up food and have a hot meal offshore. Mac and cheese is a winner. Running the AC is nice too. Depends on your usage. We spend lots of time just in marinas and on...

    30 Marlin with F225's

They’re fine, no complaints from me with F225s on my Marlin. I don’t run them at 18 mph though. Usually 4600 rpm for 30 mph or so. It will plow at 18 mph.

    Bow rail screws

Anyone know what size the bow rail screws are for a Marlin? The small Allen head ones that connect the rails.

Question about fuel tank usage on 300 Marlin

I run auxiliary down first. Seems to be better for weight and balance.
