    Yammy sheared off water intake

Hi Last week I uploaded some pics under "Yammy Chatroom" and the pics were HUGE. My apologies. Anyone here have an issue where this part sheared off? And how to fix? Here are (hopefully) smaller before and after pictures. You can read the full story on my previous post "Yammy Chatroom" Randy

    Yammy chatroom?

Thanks guys. Sheared off the water intake port on port engine. 2007 Marlin w twin F250, 800 hours, good maintenance, been running great. This has to be a one in a million accident..... Running home in normal PNW cloudy gray day in 15mph wind with a little chop. I hit a small log, maybe 3-4"...

    Central BC coast summer 2016

Thought I'd post a YouTube video my buddy's son took with his GoPro. My Grady only in the first few minutes, and it was pretty slow fishing. But he did a good job for his first video! And it was fun to see my boat hauling across the big water https://youtu.be/5_W5p6LfQ8o

New tilt helm Marlin 300 2007

There is the ability to buy the tilt mechanism only, but good luck finding one. Ended up buying the tilt and pump together just to get things moving. Anyone want a used pump? Works great. That's all I know now, enjoy the summer!!!

    Generator Replacement Advice express 330

Diesel always. I've had issues with my FP Mini4+ but they are almost all operator error learning curve. Diesel is oil, air, fuel and fuses, so I'm now a pro and the genny putts along great. R

    Spare prop suggestion

I have two aluminum spares, like against the wind said, just to get home.... Is there engine damage that can be done by running it for 3 hours home on a properly sized aluminum prop? Not pushing it, of course.... Don't need a big hole shot or need to fly 50MPH home.... ?

New tilt helm Marlin 300 2007

Hello- Noticed a grating sound last time out under my tilt helm, and some metal shavings on the dash, then a sheared off bolt fell out. It isn't any better. Boat is in the shop away from me, don't have serial numbers of the product. 2007 Marlin 300, original 250 Yammy engines, hydraulic...

Need help from 330 & Marlin owners

Garmin GHP-20. Not often and only in big big seas, occasionally a decent bump will turn the boat and activate the "shadow drive". Otherwise super easy to install and push button simple. I love it, although have no experience with other brands...

    Rear Bimini Advice

I'm making a super cheap one for limited use during dinner rain storms on our ten day trip north. Pictures to follow, but it is 1.5" PVC pipe with elbows, fits the rod holders great. It's gonna be bulky and not really meant for a long term bimini or for travel. Just something to have a little...

    Battery Charger

I'm having "ghosts in the machine" issues related to this draw off my House Bank. There are times, not every time, where the house will be dead despite the charger working well. I believe it has to do with the charger "Lead 1" being hooked to the incorrect bank... I'm getting some good research...

    VacuFlush 709

For completeness, here's a picture of the spring unit. The red pencil points to the lever that rotates one way to activate the water to fill the bowl, and doesn't rotate the other way... forcing the shaft to open the bowl. You can imagine me spending two(2) one half hour(0.5hr) chunks of my...

    Insurance

My 1999 Bayliner 3988 burned to the waterline in a boathouse fire in which two liveaboards on an adjacent boat died. All parties finally reached settlement last week, 4 years and 3 weeks after the tragedy. Travelers was my insurance company and was very timely and always had my back. In the...

    VacuFlush 709

OK I'm not crazy... this apparatus does come pre-assembled. http://www.ardemco.com/vacuflush-toilet ... cartridge/ Kudos to me for the two, 30 minute sessions I tried to get the spring wound, the latch engaged, the foot pedal lined up, and the cap on... upside down in my 3sqft head. So there...

    VacuFlush 709

Ok fellas I need help again! The "clamshell" on my vacuflush quit turning when the foot pedal is depressed. I have it all torn apart and I think there was a bit of wear on the plastic latch that holds the spring and center pin that rotates the shell, and the spring has unwound. It looks like...

    Battery education

The only advantage I can see is this: a 4 house battery bank is bigger than a 2.... My last two boats I've redone to put voltage sensitive relays in so the starting batteries were topped off then excess goes to the house. I see a couple of potential problems with this setup for this boat. 1)...
