Any canvas shop should be able to cut out the old and stich in new clear curtains - did mine about 4 years ago on my 265, go with the stratoglass and keep it clean and polished, you won't be disappointed!

Boat mostly in the LIS in CT - fat lady sings shortly after tog season closes. Will haul out mid December and winterize engine and boat over xmas and new years. Cover for 2 months and try to launch again in mid-March. EPPE

I have an 03 265, love it and there are plenty of guys on the site with the same boat who are here to help. Sorry about your issues, hindsight 20/20, did you have the boat and engines surveyed? Did you buy thru a dealer or private (meaning any recourse?). Not sure what your fishing plans are...

Good stuff on the knowing about the corrosion. Fishes great on the hook and the drift. Lots of rod storage and plenty of cockpit space too.

Use locktight and spend the extra money for Yammy zincs, the aftermarket ones seem to fall off (at least for me). Make sure you check them during the year to see if they loosen.

Hi Dale, I can't comment on the run to Bimini or the Bahamas (I boat in New England), but can assure you that the 265 is an offshore tank. Of course pick and choose your days but feel good knowing that another 265 has been offshore 15-40 miles for sharks and as far as the canyons (75 miles)...

I only tow a boat to and from the marina...I have sprayed down the ball and hitch with wd40 but that is it.

I have F225s and have a pump for the dipstick method and have taken the chaps off (PITA) and drained from the plug as well. The pump works great but you really need to pull the plug to get all the oil out. As for the filter, what a lousy placement. Like the previous poster said, get the...
