    Navigation lights troubleshooting

Hardwire would mean to use butt connectors to connec the wires from the light to the power wires. Use heat shrink tubing over the connections. Cut off the existing plug, strip back the wire about a quarter inch and verify power is on.

Installing wiring for a forward bow light

Is the light a search light? my preference in wiring is to run it inside the hull. There are often tubes designed specifically for this. There might be one that exists for the navigation lights. Process involves fishing a snake through. If there is an anchor locker in the bow that would...

'87 232 Gulfstream with twins and dual fuel tanks

I’m viewing the pictures on a phone, but how many lines are on each manifold? I see only 3 each. If that is the case you likely have two lines coming from the tanks and then one line to a motor. setting it in the middle could be both or could be neither. I’ve never set the valves on my...

    Electrical issue

With a 30 year old boat which has passed through multiple owners there is no way to accurately diagnose issue. A detail you left out was if the horn and cabin lights worked properly prior to you installing new ones. you need to add a multimeter to your boat tool kit if you don’t already...

330 Express Interior Upholstery Yardage Question

The estimate for the work I had done was 15 yards for the main material and 7.5 yards for the mesh backing. 2003 express. That is for all the cushions including the bench and table.

    Bildge Odors 330 Xpress

Yes that is where I pour in the soapy water. It is open to the rear as well through limber holes. Mine gets a bit grody if I’ve not used the boat in a week or so and some stagnant water is in there. Usually cleans up fine.

    Bildge Odors 330 Xpress

Need to add some bilge cleaner to it. I'll often take a half bucket of soapy water and dump it down there as well. Typically the advice is to add the bilge cleaner then go take a run where it can get everywhere from bouncing. I simply add it, and let the bilge pumps remove it.

Need help from any 330 owners that replaced their A/C units

I did not change out the AC unit, but did replace the pump. Was able to get essentially the same pump. The replacement job was not bad for 2 wires, and 4 bolts...LOL waaaaaaaaaaay down deep in the bilge. Might try contacting Grady to see if you can get the manufacturer/model of the stock unit.

2005 330 Express for sale price lowered

Had to comment - your second picture, looking into the helm area from the transom - possibly the best picture I've seen of that view - makes it look so roomy. Mine never feels that way. :D GLWS

Telescopic Outrigger Poles w/ OEM Mounts

I can't see why a welding shop could not make some sort of adapter that would work. Now, would it be worth the effort/cost compared to a set of top mounts?

    Hypothetically..would you rather

Absolutely trade up. No way I'd drop the coin on a new 330, for the delta between my 2003 and a 2023. A repower makes a ton more sense than new. Even then, going bigger is not really an option financially, either. I'm already close to the tipping point on annual costs, and adding say 10'...

    Fuel Tank Replacement

Contact Sunshine marine tanks in FL with your tank dimensions and see what they can come up with. When I replaced a fuel tank in my previous boat, they were less expensive than any local option I could find in New England, including shipping. I did the work myself, so can't help with the labor...

    No power

How does the boat perform with just one or two folks on board??? I know that on my 330, things are sluggish when fully loaded for a canyon trip. The extra 4K lbs makes a huge difference. 5 extra people at 200 give or take is another 1000 lbs before their gear is taken into account. On a...

    Helm switches new label

I just received a set of replacement covers from New Wire Marine. Such a huge difference for short money. It will make my experience captaining the boat much easier as now my crew can easily find the wash down switch for instance. combined with a pair of new screens, it feels like a much...

2005 Yamaha 250 4-stroke stalling at low speed

    Lee Jr Wishbone Outrigger kits

Pictures might help. When you mention re-rigging, do you simply mean installing new halyards and clips, or do you mean installing new guy wires for tension? If the former, you don't need the Lee's kit, any outrigger kit will work, but then you get to choose which clip style you want (blacks...
