Cabin Door for 1998 Seafarer---Please Help

Sorry to hear about your break-in; that is why I for one do not lock my cabin. As for the 'L' teak, you should be able to have a starboard 'L' made as a replacement. You may want to contact Grady for the part number if available for a teak one. Good luck to you.

    Yamaha 250 RPM's

17M is the prop you would want to run. Equally important, what hole is the engine mounted in..?? Mine was mounted too low w/ the cavitation plate underwater. Pulled the motor and mounted it in the top hole and the RPM's came up to spec which is 5500RPM for that engine.

lost reverse on '90 250 Yamaha

Sounds like a Yamaha problem with the shift rod. I had the same 'no reverse' stuck ness in mine last year. I used CRC to loosen things up and all was well. Took about 30miutes but it worked. With a broken shift rod you wouldn't be able to go into forward either. Try and work it loose with...

Condensation on the underside of the deck over fuel tank

Re: Decks Hookup is on the money.. But what I did instead of greasing the access port + o ring, I chalked it shut. How often to you go poking a look in there anyway..?? A quick slice w/ a blade will break the seal if and when I need to look in there.. Keeping thing super dry is what I...

    Prop Question for 228G

From what I found, the top hole is the place to be. You can get the Stiletto Stainless prop for less than $300 and it should dial you right in.

    hurricaine Hanna

Depends on how your docking location maybe influenced by the predicted wind direction of the storm.. Some marinas are more susceptible to certain wind scenarios than others... Also try and check on the boat during the blow if you stay in. Good luck..

    Prop Question for 228G

I ran a Stiletto Stainless Steel 14.25x17 on a 228 and at 3500rpm=23mph and at 4000rpm=31mph.. And those numbers are w/ a 200hp not a 225hp like yours. Is your prop aluminum..?? how clean is your bottom..?? And what hole is the engine mounted on the bracket..??

Livewell drain blocked for my 228

Mussels would not clog it since it drains above the water line. But snaking it is the way to go. If no results, then un-clamp / pull out the drain hose to examine / clear.

    Fuel tank sending unit question

I can't answer your question but would like to recommend that you may want to consider a fuel flow quage instead. It would give you an exact reading of what fuel you have in your tank. May run you about $125 to get one. Just food for thought.

price for 1997 seafarer no motor?

Depends on how much the installed replacement powerhead would cost. Keep in mind that you are repairing an 11yr old engine (assuming the motor is same year as boat..). If you would get every penny back that you would be putting in and the improvement to the motor can expedite a sale...go for...
