    First Blood

Yeah, it was slick calm on the ride in. We got a bit of a breeze for awhile when fishing. It was the kind of breeze that would have had the occasional spray on us heading up sea in the old 273 Chase, but not a drop in the new rig. I haven't had her out in the slop yet. I am kinda curious to see...

    First Blood

First blood on the deck of the Splash, my new-to-me 2006 repowered 330 Express. Beautiful December day out of Masonboro Inlet here in Southeast North Carolina!

    Occassional Freezing Temps Question

Our freezing temps here are typically a few nights each winter, and they almost never extend much past the sunrise. The water the boat sits in should stay in the 50's all winter. I am thinking I can just trim the outboards down late in the PM on days where we are expecting freezing temps...

    Occassional Freezing Temps Question

Here in Southeastern North Carolina we have a very schizophrenic wintertime climate. For instance, on Monday I was fishing 65 miles offshore in shorts, tomorrow night it is going to be 29, and then it is back in the 60s this weekend. The boat stays in the water and gets regular use all winter...

    transportation question

Prices vary dramatically depending on time of year and where you are going. I would expect $2-4 per mile for that boat. This is the season people move boats south for the winter, so you should be able to get a deal on a back haul. I can also tell you from experience that anything in the...

2006 330 Express Fuel Selection (or De-Selection) Valve

Good grief. Talk about things I wish I knew yesterday. Nothing like driving 65 miles out into the ocean just to turn around and come back! I guess I should be happy that there is no expensive repair bill coming my way.

    330 fuel burn

I ran offshore today in my 2006 330 Express with brand new Yamaha F300s on it. I had four grown men, was 15 gallons shy of the full fuel load, and had a large cooler full ice...and all the other crap people bring on the boat. It was about as calm as it could be for most of the ride out and in...

    Yamaha 425's on 2008 Express 330?

I asked GW a question about max HP on 330s a few months back. This is the response I got: The HP rating changed from 500 HP to 600 on our 2004 model year boat. We also went to the Twin F-350 in 2009 (see 2009 brochure spec sheet). You can install the Twin Yamaha F-300’s from 2004 to 2008 and...

2006 330 Express Fuel Selection (or De-Selection) Valve

I have a new to me 2006 330 Express. Can some tell me if this photo shows the fuel tank selection set to "Aux" or "Main." It seems to me that it would indicate it is taking fuel from "Aux," and the GW video on the 330 fuel system seems to support that conclusion, but a prior thread on here...

Fischer Panda Service in Wilmington, NC

Does anyone know who does this? I called Atlantic Marine, and they couldn't recommend anyone. I am looking for someone who can come to my marina and do service/troubleshoot when needed.

    GW 222

You did fine. I had a 2007 222, and I loved it. I sold it 2.5 years ago. 700+ hours and no exhaust work was done. I listed it for $34.5k, and it sold in less than 2 days for asking. I got a lot of calls, so I think you are good. Mine didn't have curtains or a trailer.

    Huddle up. It's decision time.

Today marks the end of the story. I got just got a check for the two 250s, and I am back down to one boat with two working engines (knock on wood)! I am loving the 330 so far. We haven't had a chance to fish it yet, but it did a weekend run to Bald Head, and the boys and I are camping on it...

    Huddle up. It's decision time.

The 273 Chase is sold and on its way down the highway with her new owner. I hope he fixes her up rights and loves that rig as much as I did. I sold it as-is. Looks like I got a buyer for the 250s coming off the new boat, and my mechanic will be done mounting the 300s tomorrow. Knock on wood...

330 Express Bridge Outrigger Clearance Question

Yes, I was referring to dropping them down like I was trolling. Not sure how else I could do it. I can't be the only one with this problem, so I am guessing someone has a method. Thanks,

330 Express Bridge Outrigger Clearance Question

You are correct. They are the 24' single spreader outriggers. I have to go under one bridge to get to the inlet, and it is 20' of clearance, and it only opens between 7am and 7pm for recreational vessels. I am guessing I just have to drop the outriggers while going under when I leave to go...

Need Help with Labor Costs on Repower

Thanks for the response. They will be doing the the de-rigging and re-rigging. It is my understanding that everything is going to fit into the same holes/cutouts. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong on that. I have one shop telling me it is a 6-8 hour job, and another telling me...

    Huddle up. It's decision time.

Just wanted to give an update. I am under contract on a 2006 330 Express, and the 273 Chase is for sale as-is. I found a great deal on a set of Yamaha F300s, and they are going to go on the 330 Express when (hopefully) it gets a clean survey and gets delivered to me later this month. If I...
