    Circuit Breaker - 2003 330 Express

I need to replace a circuit breaker on the main panel of my 2003 330. It has a red light that signifies that the breaker is "on" - the breaker works, but the light is out. Does anyone know the manufacturer? It seems that Blue Seas is the predominant breaker out there, but that's not what I...

    trim tabs anodes

Zincs are cheap insurance - change them when needed. I had a FORMER cleaning service that waited too long to replace them - corrosion started on the leading edge of the tab!

    Grady wash down pump

Just to clarify - I assume you're looking for the SALT water washdown pump. If you have one, it either gets saltwater from a dedicated thru-hull valve or it is a Tee'd off connection from the live-well pump. Follow the salt water washdown hose to the pump. Then follow the pump inlet hose to...

Would it be worth it to move up?

I AM an old guy and will focus on the financial side of the decision. If your retirement portfolio is now or will be TWICE as much as you expect to need for retirement, your house payment is comfortable or near being paid off and a boat payment (agree that you should shop rates) is not a...

    TRANSDUCERS

I’m not familiar with Garmin LiveView. I have Simrad and they have a feature called DownScan, requiring a specialized transducer. Are they the same?? For Simrad, it’s a sonar image but more three dimensional than the normal sonar image. Is this imaging more of a visual gimmick than actually...

    TRANSDUCERS

Thanks Chris. The first transducer is an M - medium. My electronics installer said it was a good compromise for shallow and deep water (note that I rarely, if ever, fish deeper than 250 ft). I believe the Simrad NSS3s has twin frequency capability, so your suggestion of the B275LHW may be a...

    TRANSDUCERS

I am looking for feedback from the forum and thanks in advance for your posts. I am in the midst of upgrading the sonar capabilities on my 2003 330 Express. I have two Simrad MFD's, one a 12" NSS Evo 3 & the other a 9" NSS Evo 3s. I'm having an in-hull Airmar B150M CHIRP transducer installed...

    2003 Chase 263 helm modification

If like my 330, you'll have to raise electronics closure, disconnect ram, lower ram, prop up electronics closure fully, remove tub and you should be able to access handle/disconnect mounting screws.

    Panda out solar in?

Congrats on purchase - I remember your inquiries about a 330 purchase. Glad you got it done. Can I ask reason for wanting to dump the generator? Is it gas or diesel?

    Wiper Blades

I've always had good luck with Anco replacements. Available at Amazon, E-Bay or any automotive parts retailer.

Marine Air heat on 330 express

Also, look at the control panel - it will tell you if the electronics are saying that the heater's on or the A/C is on. Did you adjust the desired temperature high enough to kick on the heat?? Then check the water flow out of the lower port side of the hull - if the heat pump has failed, they...

    Fresh water tank filling issues.

Some models have a fresh water gauge. On my 330 it's on the wall in the head. Do you have one???

    Grady 307 owners

I don't have your boat (I have 33 Express) but that list on yours is noticeable. If not center mounted, there are batteries and a fresh water holding tank that can affect list somewhat. I assume your fuel tanks and generator are center mounted. Puzzling???

    Sudden engine shutdown

I have heard of the fuel lines delaminating and causing the inner liner to collapse choking off fuel flow. Not sure this is your problem, but if your fuel lines are older, could be.

    Battery Recommendation and DYI installation

Agree with "drbatts" about taking pics before starting project. I use a zip ties to bundle all the cable/wire connections to each battery post. Really helps to keep things organized. If no built-in battery straps on batteries, invest in a good battery strap to pull out old and put in new...

    Boating after dark - options?

Fully agree with Kirk A. I have boated for over 40 years and still do my best to avoid night piloting. A few comments - the more familiar you are with the route, the better; slow down; have another set of eyes on watch and make sure your horn works; give one crewmember a spotlight to use as...

Looking to outfit 21' walk around ( a 218 Adventure) with electronics

I happen to have Simrad - my boat is older and had Simrad when I bought it, so I have remained with Simrad as I upgraded. I've been happy with Simrad. I've heard good things about Garmin, and if I was starting from scratch, probably would lean towards them. In my opinion, finding a good tech...
