Oil injected. When I replaced fuel lines I checked for water in fuel, hardly any by visual in a jar. Added new fuel to separators and reinstalled. now for the engine area…

Ok not an electrical issue as four of the six (normal) show power at the plug. Prior checked all fuses except for the 80 amp ones as afraid I would break them. I did not pull plugs but can in the morning if needed. Fuel bulb still hard and filter full.

Yes both were on same tank and died within 15 - 20 minutes from each other on the lake. My son had moved only one of the fuel valves to the main while on the lake. He was not aware there were two valves. After removing the old brittle fuel lines (one had a small cut) I only had to pump the fuel...

On my boat if the kill switch is not engaged and you turn the key I get nothing - no crank or anything else.

I do as good when traveling and curious about other water areas. Was cool when at the outer banks in NC to see how shallow everything was. Probably one of the least expenditures each year.

Z150XTRY 2 stroke. Been reviewing a manual myself but not anywhere need an expert. Is the fuse for just the ECM as the starter cranks? If kill switch was bad neither would start nor crank correct? I keep going back to where this started. Left the marina and 3/4 mile the port engine died (due...

So 0-2. Av’s lost and doesn’t have appear to have spark at plugs. Tested on starboard engine and tester worked fine so not the tester. Hard to see the tester when not running in the sun but starboard engine clearing display spark. Battery is three years old and shows 13.1 on meter.

Primer bulb is firm, fuel is at engine (no air remaining in filter). One lanyard runs both engines. Not sure how to test spark. Will research.

Finally got back to the boat and replace all fuel lines. Let me tell you not an easy job for a big man. Pumped the fuel bulb on both and got fuel in the lines. Started starboard engine and ran like a top. Port engine starter kicks in but no luck in actually starting. Checked port battery and...

Thanks for the ideas and comments. Will go through them one by one. Note I purchased new fuel lines as too many cracks (old). Unfortunately couldn’t replace tonight as rain all day but tomorrow is another day.

To clarify my comment regarding the fuel valve. The way I understand it the main fuel tank is in the rear with the auxiliary in the front. In my boat both are 92 gal tanks. Would think the picture diagram would match Gulfstream diagram manual versus the opposite.

The squeeze balls are about two years old. I assume the part prior to the bulb is an electronic primer. Am I correct? Signs of when bad? Clogged?

I have removed gas caps and tried getting fuel to the fuel ball when it first started to have problems. Weird as one gets fuel but the other doesn’t.

    Engine woes...

My boating woes continue. Between births, deaths and work there has been little time to play on the 2000 Gulfstream 232 with twin Yamaha 150’s. Last successful trip – only one all year – was taking my daughter-in-law and two grandsons around the bay for a quick ride. Boat ran well. Boat sat for...

Don't laugh, but I want to go crappie fishing with my 376 Canyon

I have twin 150’s and troll with one (rotate every trip). Depending on wind/waves I use a sea bag from Amish Outfitters (by far best quality) - http://amishoutfitters.com/descriptions.htm - some people use two but I get down to 1.2mph when needed. Have used for over five years and still looks new.

    Starboard engine piss port

After a few days of crappy weather got to the boat. Water on at the dock so jumped right in. First I pushed air from Tell-tale using compressor. First attempt air pushed valve out, figured blockage. Increased pressure a little and tried again. Heard something break up and then a good whoosh of...

    Starboard engine piss port

Of course not easy to see while underway but the exhaust port does spit water out. Is it because of a blockage or OK? Violent storms so nothing new to report today. don’t see this on port engine as tell-tale is strong flow.
