For what it's worth, I was able to resolve a fuel smell issue by replacing the sender gasket. The original cork one had deteriorated. I only noticed the issue when I had the tank topped up.

Is it just me, or do others think there's no gelcoat outside of the sanded are? Isn't that chopped strand?

Here's a pic of the access plate my marina added on the starboard side to do the drain. There's one in exactly the same place on the port side. I think this is a great spot for this.
