Looking To Move To Cape Cod

I'm in Brewster and keep my boat at Sesuit Harbor. I also spend a few weeks each summer fishing off Nantucket... It sounds like you're trailering so you're going to have a pretty wide selection of places to fish depending on what's biting and conditions. The prevailing summer winds are from the...

Livewell/ Fish boxes re Rubber Seal

For what it's worth, I used the Taco 1/2" x 1/2" weather seal to do my fish box lid on my 330 Express. It was actually a little too high I think, and I probably would have been better with the 3/8" x 5/8" version. But it went on very easily and fit fine once the rubber mashed down a bit...

Adding 20" single row light bar to Grady 330 Express Hard top

The crimps are Ancor adhesive heat-shrink type and the connector is an IP68 Deutsch connector that came with the light. I could have bypassed the connector altogether, but I left it as it should be watertight... Guess I'll find out!

Adding 20" single row light bar to Grady 330 Express Hard top

This was a pretty easy DIY upgrade. I'll start by saying that I am only going to use this light for docking and getting around a crowded mooring field. I'm well aware of the rules on navigation lighting underway and the dangers of ruining other boater's night vision etc! OK, now that I got that...

    semi-permanent flushing system

I always flush my engines after each trip and I rigged a Y-hose with quick connects to make it easier, but I decided to try rigging a semi-permanent setup so the hoses stay attached all the time and I have a single quick-connect (so sorta like the rigged flushing systems that newer gradys come...

Easy addition of 4 rod holders to 330 Express

I love my Sterling widetrackers! 2nd season fishing them and we caught YFT, mahi, and event a 175lb bigeye. They work great, though I'm still using my riggers (fortunately no bridge clearance issue).

Easy addition of 4 rod holders to 330 Express

I put 3 of these on the transom when I first got the boat: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AY9IT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (should have done more, but I guess I can still add) I didn't think I could do one of those multiple holder bars because I assumed they would...

Easy addition of 4 rod holders to 330 Express

I've been planning to add hard top rocket launchers to my 330 Express but have held off because of the cost and also because I'm 5'-8", getting rods up there would require climbing up on something. I noticed a thread on here where someone had extra holders welded to the rear hardtop supports...

    Finally got it home

These pictures are awesome. I never realized there were access "plates" behind the vinyl bolsters -- do they just unscrew? Anything interesting behind them? Please do keep posting pictures, especially of where all the systems are located behind the many panels! By the way, not sure what you're...

1 year review of the 330 express

I'm on my 5th season in my 2003 that I pretty much fully refit in 2016... I had it in Nantucket for 2 months this summer (on mooring P4) so I probably saw yours there -- I noticed a few 330's. Agree with everything you said, though I'm surprised at the quality issues you've encountered. I can...

    Fixed inop boat horn

Hey - since your wires are taped it will be really easy to measure the voltage when the switch is activated. If it's 12V, then the horn is bad. If it's like 6V (or 0V) then it's a wiring problem...

    Fixed inop boat horn

I use a torch lighter which works "OK" though it sometimes burns the insulation if you aren't patient enough... On the other hand they are great for lighting cigars!

    Fixed inop boat horn

Ugh - tape?? I few years ago I bought a proper Ancor crimper: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032G1MB0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Best money I ever spent! You should resplice with these...

    Fixed inop boat horn

I just solved a very frustrating problem with my brand new trumpet horns. At the beginning of the season they became intermittent and then failed entirely giving only a dull "thunk" sound. Normally I'm very systematic about tracking down problems (I'm an engineer by training), but for some...

Fuel Tank Cleaning 2006 360 Express

Here in MA, we only have 10% ethanol gas and a 6 month boating season... My 33 gets completely filled up (350 gallons) in November with Sta-bil added, and some years due to weather and travel, I am not able to use that gas until July. I've never had a problem with water condensation in my gas...
