    No power

Ok Guys. First, thanks for the interest. Second. The revs did not stop at 5000 rpms and did not struggled to increase but if i tried to go over, the whistle would come on ( I tried twice and had to turn the throttle back). There were no weeds or anything else on the propeller, as well as the...

    No power

Two weeks ago i went to the water w/ 7 people (total) and something did happen: My Islander has a F250 Yamaha ( of course 4 stroke) and With throttle down, around 5000/5200 RPMs I could not pass over 14/15 MPH., I called the mechanic and explain the issue, He told me that it should be a problem...

    Solar battery charger/maintainer

So, if I don't get this, how would be the "system" w/out a controller?

    Solar battery charger/maintainer

I would agree w/ you if I used the boat a lot more. I'm looking for the "charger" to work during the periods when the boat is on trailer (3 months last time)) as well as the " few" times when we stay overnight (weekends) on board, that's why people use the maintainer, Right?

    Solar battery charger/maintainer

Understood, but my situation is a bit different. Boat stays on the trailer but at the location there is no way to keep a electrical extension feeding a maintainer; rain gets on the bilge and the pumps do their jobs, because of that , battery goes w/out charge. ( reason for a solar...

    Solar battery charger/maintainer

Hi Dogdoc. Thanks for the reply. What I have is two(2) batteries (house/deep cycle and start) and the whole idea is to maintain the deep cycle charged because it gets very low due to the bilge pump and rain. the other situation is the distance between the batteries and the hardtop, what do you...

I have a 168 Islander and would like to install a solar battery charger /maintainer. Does anyone here have one installed? How difficult was to install it? What brand would you recommend? Do they work fine? Thanks. PS: I'm thinking to install the solar panel on the hardtop .

    Questions on windlass

I have a 268 Islander that has no windlass. Looking at the chain/rope storage space I found a wire w/ a " windlass". tag, probably from factory. My question /questions is/are: What brand would be better for it? (Lewmar or Maxwell). Shall I use that wire for powering it? Shall i use chain only...

    Help w/ the Head .

Well, Yes I do not intend to discharge inshore, I know that one must be at minimum of 3 miles out for discharge, my question was more to do with intake because would be a pain to be going to the seacock at any time someone would use the toilet. Thanks guys.

    Help w/ the Head .

Thanks. I will try to see if the problem is w/ the seacock or the pump. By the way. do you leave the two seacocks valves always open or open and close as you need ?
