    Rocket Launcher with Sunshade

I want to do the same, but only for flags. I'm a bit of a flag-whore. My only complaint about my Freedom is that the rocket launchers are on the sides. I prefer to fly flags from the top. I'd love to find a bolt-on solution.

    Rocket Launcher with Sunshade

My buddy's Coastal 281 has sureshade and top rocket launchers. I'm sure you could find someone to fabricate something like this.

That is a really nice Grady. If you are OK with the price it's definitely worth a look.

    Day Dreaming ...upgrading

I think everyone goes through upgradeitis. Bigger boats are always that dangling carrot. My 235 is perfect for us and what we do. Having looked at several bigger GWs I figure I'd have to go up to a 307 or 325 to really notice a significant difference. And at those prices I'd probably get an...

    New model Freedom 415

1.7 without electronics. Probably closer to 2 loaded up.

    New Yamaha color ?

The pearl white just doesn't blend. Looks very aftermarket. The Grady Cream looks custom and flows perfectly.

    Must have been a Monday

Those blue crimp wire connectors look pretty new. No way they are 40 years old looking like that completely exposed. Did they even have those in the 80s?
  9. FREEDOM!!!

    Must have been a Monday

Yeah, a 40 year old boat is unlikely to have original wiring.

    New model Freedom 415

Indeed. I am not a fisherman. I find it amusing how some have difficulty fathoming that someone can own a boat and not fish. My boating preference is as you describe above...sand bars, exploring, waterfront restaurants and bars, sunset cruising, raftups with friends. I also find it amusing...

    Carry an Extra Propeller ?

Certainly nothing wrong with having a spare. If I were to do that I'd probably just get a cheap aluminum instead of a high dollar SS. Just enough to get me home.

    New model Freedom 415

I'm not sure there is a target customer for this. Seems like a bigger is better kind of deal. Why not make a 41' DC? I'm sure bigger ones will be available in the next few years. If they don't already, I'm sure Grady's competitors will soon have a 42' DC....then Grady will make a 43' and so on.

    New model Freedom 415

Just not sure what niche a 40+ft, $2M bowrider, day boat fills. Cool boat for sure and I'd love to take a ride on one....but who are they targeting with this model?

    Carry an Extra Propeller ?

Aluminum props are very weak. My first boat had that and I went through about 3 props in the first year. It's pretty difficult to damage SS props.

    Carry an Extra Propeller ?

I don't know anyone who caries an extra prop. Stainless props are pretty tough.

    New model Freedom 415

I have a feeling that this boat will appeal to people who will use it as their small day-boat. Real F-U money.

    New model Freedom 415

That's it? $1.4M? I was thinking a lot more. Here's one listed for $1.9. https://www.boattrader.com/boat/2024-grady-white-415-freedom-9135484/ I just can't fathom spending that kind of money on a bow rider. I'd be getting a full-on yacht that I could live on comfortably. I just don't get...

    Marine decking questions

I have the teak and it's never too hot here in Florida. The grey is probably cooler, but the teak is certainly not hot. Maybe other brands get hot, but my SeaDek never gets hot.

Excellent advice! T-Tops are key! Would never own a boat without it. A surveyor is also critical.

Depends....theoretically it's limitless if taken care of. Most people put less than 100 hours per year on their boat. If that's a clean engine it should last for many more years.
