My boat is uncovered year round in Florida. Never had an issue with Seadek being too hot.

There are literally thousands of posts on all boat forums about Seadek and like products. Very strong opinions for and against. I love it. Many hate it. Don't try to do it yourself. That almost always end up badly.

I just ended up getting a nice Yeti cooler that fits perfectly right there. Just the right height to use as a step. Put a SeaDek pad on top for non-slip.

I wish mine came with that.

There are threads here and on The Hull Tuth on Sharrow props. Seems that nobody has one. Not sure how they stay in business. At $5K each they will never catch on, even if the performance claims are accurate.

Get the upgrade passenger seat with the power sliding feature. Way better than the standard flat seat with movable backrest. The auto rear sunshade is also highly recommended.

The sliding seat has teflon tabs on the bottom that it slides on. Seadek works just fine. They just cut two grooves for the tabs to slide through. Here's the diagram of my Seadek.
