Hey Thanks- I did join your group. I think I was like 2nd or 3rd member. Since you're the admin, It ll ask you if you want to allow AI posts before it starts just generating them.

Watching this thread as I planned on recoating my 2002 Seafarer bracket this fall/winter also. I was just going to blast it and paint it with Awlgrip. Ill have to look into whatever "hexavalent chromate passivization" is.

Great Advice! I just installed a 2nd bilge pump in the stern of my 228- Overkill? Maybe, but I have piece of mind if one suddenly fails.

Just wanted to follow up- I ended up buying a 1/2 stainless barbed through hull (I was surprised they make them that small). I ended up drilling and installing the though hull next to my bilge exit. Looks great and will work great also.

With a new install Id look at Zipwake. I might make the upgrade this winter on mine. They are pricey but worth it if you spend a lot of time on the boat.

I have the same bracket and mine does not have any foam in it. There is also a drain bung underneath. Sorry I cant help with the screws.
