    208 Adventure washdown pump issue

It's a little hard to follow what you've done so far regarding diagnosis, but... -- Dirty electrical connections can cause this. This could be either the + or - -- Even old wires can do this -- Circuit breakers get tired as they get old Again, not sure what you've done - but that should help...

    Purcahsing a 1998 G-W Adventrue 20'

I believe what you heard about "wood" transoms is not quite correct - they transitioned to a "better" wood transom, made by a company called Greenwood. But note, this still didn't solve the bane of GW's and their transom rot. The issue was entirely due to how they skipped steps in building the...

    Yamalube 2M 2 cycle oil

That's exactly what I do (RF + Startron), as well, Robert. Are HPDI's worse with carbon buildup than OX66's (which is what I have). I honestly don't know - I just would have assumed HPDI's were the same or better.

2007 Gulfstream 232 Yamaha F250 stalled while trolling and cruising

We can't tell you exactly what's wrong any better than your dealer can - we're not there to investigate things. YOU need to do some hands on investigation yourself if you don't want to take it to a mechanic. About all we can tell you is that the problem is ""most likely the fuel bulb, the...

    Yamalube 2M 2 cycle oil

You could add Ringfree to your fill ups - it makes a noticeable difference in things like the O2 sensor and barbell - so I'm sure it helps keeps injectors and such cleaner, too.

    Yamalube 2M 2 cycle oil

No, I haven't see that before. Odd. But when you say "lower ash"... was that in comparison to Penn Synthetic... or just a general comment? Reason being, I have found that Penn smokes noticeably less than Yama. Evinrude XD100... even less.

Adding a Fuel Bladder -- grounding

There won't be any issues by doing that - I think we're still just wondering if it's necessary. But as noted a few times, there's nothing wrong/dangerous about doing it. You won't need 10g - although, again, it can't hurt. As noted above, best practice is to go to a bus bar. Going right to...

    Need Fuel Valve help

Did you try running with the aux tank's fuel cap off to see if you have vacuum building up from a clogged vent line or fitting? Could also just temporarily bypass the valve to see if it's the problem.

Battery Charger Install Freedom 235 Dual Console

Side note... If you don't have something solid to screw into, you can first glue mounting strips and then screw into that.

    T-Top Canvas...needs replacement!

Sunbrella is a synthetic product made of acrylic that is extremely durable. It can be cleaned and re-waterproofed....... but for a t-top setup, does waterproofness really matter? Even if it's not re-waterproofed, it will not drip through unless there's a low spot where water can puddle. Who...

    Re-adhering Helm and Deck Trim

Done this many times on different boats. 3M4200 squeezed gently (not too much so you avoid excessive squeeze out) into the rubber channel... and then tape the rubber in place. You can use 3M5200, as well - but it's absolute bear to get it off should you need to replace the rubber at some point.

Adding a Fuel Bladder -- grounding

Good point - now that you mention that, I have never seen fuel selector valves grounded or bonded in any boat.

    Grady Stringers and Knees?

NHAngler, do you know how the stringers/knees are built? I do not, but... if the interior transom first gets a layer of glass before the stringers/knees are laid up against it, then there should be zero transfer of moisture. I would "think" that's the way it's done... but then one would also...

Adding a Fuel Bladder -- grounding

Hmm. Well, you're right. But that would mean YOU would be carrying the charge. Although I thought that only happened when you were standing in a line in the library on a carpeted floor and you drug your feet back and forth on the carpet and then touched the earlobe of your friend in front of...

Battery Charger Install Freedom 235 Dual Console

I think if you can go to the left or right of the filter, or above it, you'd be fine. Port - I think I know what you mean. I've used something like that from Marinco many, many times.

Battery Charger Install Freedom 235 Dual Console

What mounting area do you have near the batteries? But not above a battery - that is generally a big no-no, especially with lead acid batteries. It's all really pretty much straight forward. Are you limited by cord length and charger lead length? A lot of this depends on the model. But in...

    Winterizing a 232 Gulfstream

There's nothing really different from one boat to another in terms of the pumps/head. It does depend on what type you have - but in the end, a pump is a pump is a pump/etc. If you've done it before, it's really all the same. Was there something specific that you were concerned/confused by?

Adding a Fuel Bladder -- grounding

Someone correct me if I'm not thinking of this correctly or missing something... the only way a spark would be created is if something metal touches the valve - such as when filling a gas tank with the fuel nozzle - which won't happen here.

    Grady Marlin

Your post subject is about a GW Marlin? As far as the site goes, the only ad I see is the top banner ad (often for SIM Yamaha) that has pretty much always been there. I don't see anything different.
