If so that would be really upsetting, I bought it new this spring from a Grady dealer when i bought my 228 so trusted their recommendation. I plan to haul it from VA to FL at least once a year and I regularly travel 200 - 300 miles with it.

Thanks, right now I only have a 2" drop but before I start messing with thre calipers I'll measure and bring it up a couple inches with a straight receiver.

Go with the Silverado. I tow my 228 with a Ram 1500 no problem but I'm also planning to take it to FL from VA in the winter so I'm glad to have that extra power.

My 228 has floor/deck drains in front of the helm seats and water splashes up through them in moderate rolling so I think you'll need a major macerate pump with check valve if you want that area to drain overboard. I'd like to hinge the whole hatch lengthwise but the pilot seats will interfere...
