Since you won’t reuse those bolts, I wouldn’t worry about snapping them off. Worst case you could strip out the nuts, but snapping them off would make it easier to get off.

I put one on my 330 and have had the built-in ones on other boats. The Edson knob is superior and has never come loose. Fits a variety of sizes heavy duty.

Edson SS knob is high quality, but not cheap.

3.3L or 4.2? Different gearing.

Do you have an estimate of the number of hours on those props? Were your 250s 3.3L or 4.2 L? Do you have any performance information?

I believe those are nonstructural surface cracks caused by the welding (heat distribution impacting the anodizing). I'd call the company that built/welded the supports. Mine has very similar marks in a few places, not quite as evident as yours. My 330 was built by WMW Marine in Winterville...

Also, check your first aid kit to ensure that it contains a tourniquet. Some do not. You can always fashion one out of rope or belt, but a lot more difficult and less effective than using a premade one from a first aid kit.
