how to repair separation of toe kick?

That material has a self-adhesive backing and white plastic "rivets". It shrinks and doesn't like bends. You should see what it looks like on my 1997 Islander! It doesn't really seal anything. It's a cosmetic trim strip. Since it is a new boat I would talk to the dealer. You can caulk the...

    Boat Slips Backwards

Likely some angle of pull of the winch. Sounds like angle too low pulling the boat down. Should be at least level on the trailer maybe a little higher. Zoom in on this photo to see bow eye and windlass angle.

Topping Up Bennett Trim Tab Oil

I have a square cover held on by a single screw on top. Looks like yours is missing. I think you are looking at the front of the unit. See if that black hose on the left comes out (and where does it go?). I think that is your fill. Should be able to pull that hose, stick a screwdriver in it and...

    Missing trim tab 282 Sailfish

Well it helps to know where you are if you are wishing for a camera. You could always borrow a GoPro. It's almost certainly a Bennett trim tab. Cylinder may be ok (broken tab hinge). Your boat should have a full hull and tab should be out the back of the boat. Check size in the water. Mounting...

    motors down for winter storage?

If you really got all the water out before trimming up you should be ok. I like to finish up with 1/2 gallon of pink antifreeze pumped thru with them up. Then trim down to drain. I usually leave them down until I head to FL in January. Either way - up or down you will be fine.

Grady 232 2016 wiper blades and compass

If I remember correctly my old wiper arms mount to a splined shaft. There was a small Allen setscrew to keep it in place. If PB Blaster won't get it loose you can drill it out. I solved my wiper problems permanently - I removed them completely.

Grady 232 2016 wiper blades and compass

Repairing a compass is a loosing proposition. They leak the mineral oil they are filled with because of bad seals or cracked plastic. Probably a Ritchie. Search online. Make sure you know your cutout size and buy adapter ring if needed. NAPA has old truck style and automotive style. I just...

    Fuel tank idea - comments?

Don't forget to insulate front, back and mounting pads. AI Overview For insulating aluminum fuel tanks, nitrile is superior to neoprene because of its better resistance to fuels and oils. Neoprene offers only moderate fuel resistance and will degrade with prolonged exposure to petroleum...
