I just bought a 2021 F150 5.0 5.5ft bed, f*ckin awesome. Tows my 22' Fisherman with ease and I can put all kinds of good stuff in the truck bed! Located in MA.

Is it "sputtering"? What happens if you push the throttle all the way...and go past 5100 RPM's? Sounds like it might be a fuel pump situation? Has it been happening for a while or is this something new? Any way you get get us a video of the situation you describe? Good luck!

Thinking about what Peter A & Seasick said, my slip set up is also fixed. I have a slipmate, which makes it tough to run extra lines...going to have to figure out a better line configuration.

At first glance, this doesn't look like a huge issue. Did you just start the boat? What is the temp outside? After you run the boat, does the exhaust trail disappear? I have a much older engine F250 from 2006...it does the same thing at start up and idle then the exhaust trail goes away...

Might it be a little exhaust or fuel that hasn't burned off from when the engine shut down?

After 2 weeks of repair - 4 new layers of glass, gelcoat, new rub rail, decals and bottom paint - I am back in the water! Very happy to make up the hours that were missed (couple times into Boston, around the harbor islands, swimming with the twins).

This year has been tough with the wind and rain up in New England (South Shore of Boston). We have had a lot of days 20+ mph of wind from the NW, N, NE, ENE etc. Speeding up the story here...my boat got smashed up at the dock. The night of the Nor'easter high tide was 9pm-ish, wind NE 40+ mph...

get a certified mechanic to do a good commissioning on the motor! Post a pic of your rig.

not when i turn the key on. havent stalled with my current motor either.

Interesting, each motor I have owned, I do not hear it when turning the key on.
