There are a lot of thoughts on this thread, with some installations more permanent than temporary or portable ... A lot of good thoughts .. .. I would appreciate knowing what you decide on....
Comment on the Electric windshield defroster >>>> 1500 Watts will give you about 5200 BTUs.... Watts = volts multiplied by Amps>>>> So a 12 volt DC windshield defroster that draws 20 Amps will give you 240 watts.... about 820 BTU's .... Not a whole lot of heat
Giving this some more thought , I would think the following statements would be accurate ....
There should be sufficient oxygen supply, as the helm curtains are not air tight.>>>.. Most of these new heaters are vent-less and advertise a 99 % combustion efficiency. .. If the heater is running...
Someone enlighten me please >>>> CO = Carbon Monoxide and CO2= Carbon Dioxide>> I always thought that combustion of any Fossil fuel caused an emission of carbon monoxide... a deadly gas that removes oxygen from the blood . My understanding is that most of these heaters are 99% efficient...
My 2001 Marlin was wired totally different than my 2007 Marlin .... I think the 2001 was a better design ... The '01 had 4 batteries ... one for each motor with 2 cross over switches .... there were 2 house batteries wired in parallel for everything else. Each of the The ox66 Yamahas had an...
I believe 2 different issues and not related .... I would post this on the Boats.net Yamaha Forum ... There are a couple guys there that are pretty sharp .. one is a little nicer than the other !! LOL .... for my 2 cents , I will weigh in on the starter issue... The "click" is the solenoid...
on another note>>>>>> When I was hunting for the 2007 Marlin, I looked at a Boston whaler Conquest .... I seam to recall that the AC unit was installed under the v- bunk in the bow

for what its worth >> 2007 Marlin>> I mounted a remote control spotlight on TOP of the bow pulpit, forward of the anchor .... this eliminated the glare caused by mounting on the hardtop .... I used a wireless type remote light made by Marinco and am very happy with it . the only wiring...
Starter for Fischer Panda 4200 ... very little use off a Generator with about 100 hours ... used in working condition>> guaranteed to work as it should ...

I got tired of going into the tank and freeing up the pump .... a really stupid design ..... if i recall there was a threaded fitting on the top side of the tank ... i installed a pvc piece of pipe into that port and connected a Jabsco maserator pump using the existing discharge hose on one end...
Hi ... I am always browsing boats ....LOL !! I ran across this '89 Marlin... If the pictures are recent, it shows as a very nice boat , asking $25K , almost a no brainer if it fits what you're looking for ...

I am curious to see what the demand is for the new 251 coastal explorer ... shallow draft, low gunnels, "bay boat " In looking at the pictures above, PNW, I don't see any CC's or DC's !!! LOL They must all be out fishing !!!!
Follow the market ..... Grady got to this point for leading the market, not following !!! Offer a well made product and offer a product that everyone else doesn't make..... The market is flooded with manufacturers producing CC's and DC's .... Highly competitive...... Grady has pulled...
