Well, our 3 day Atlantic red snapper season came and went. Hope those of you on the Atlantic side got to enjoy it. Luckily Friday and Sunday the weather and winds were light, Saturday the strong South wind coupled with the Gulf Stream made fishing difficult...but all in all great fun. Too bad...

I did have an intermittent hot alarm on my port engine at low or idle power. After all the other things we tried (t-stats, flushing,etc.) the problem turned out to be the impeller (bad blade). Put a new one in and no problems since.

Are the rings glass?

There are three cam sensors on those engines, did you replace all three? I had a similar problem with one of my F250s and we replaced all three since I could not determine which one was the culprit. However it did fix my problem.

My two cents worth.....Assuming you had the 200 hour service completed, I would just bring a couple of fuel water separators with you and change them out at the 100 hour point. Check your oil level prior to your trip and do the remaining when you return. I did the same thing a couple years ago...

I use strong vinegar......helps but eventually you have to dig it out and redo it.

I have Allstate, they beat Geico.

I took mine off the spray them and they came off without a problem. I did not see any issue once the arm was off. They went back on without a hitch. Oh by the way they look great after the spray on vinyl coating. It has been 9 months since I did it they look good thus far.

I have a 2007 Marlin and it does not have a max capacity sticker on it. You must however have all the required safety equipment for the boat and life vests that fit all persons on board, plus a throw cushion or ring.

Whomever puts in your boat lift should know to add two zincs, they should hang about two feet underwater., one on each side of the lift. They are the sacrificial zincs to take on any stray electrical current in your canal.
