I have a 2007 and the Main tank is the forward and the Aux is the aft also.

I had a similar issue with my port engine and it turned out that the shift cable was outside the bracket. I put the cable back in the bracket and added a zip tie to hold it closed. I would look at the cable bracket on both engines and see if one has popped out.

I had a kicker om my Seafarer years ago, it was a 9.9 it worked great. The key will be the bracket you put on her. I agree with Fishtails, peace of mind is a good thing.

I use Zep mold and mildew remover. Just be sure to wash it with clean water after applying.
