Fiberglass delamination, top, bow pulpit and anchor hatch

It's a known issue where cosmetic chipping occurs on the hatches. I had it bad. Fixed it over the winter, with gel coat. Can't even tell it was there. Do a search on this forum, you'll find photos of the process.

Upgrade to hydraulic or electric steering systems

How many thousands of dollars are you willing to spend on this project? It's not going to be cheap.

    Bait Table / Fillet Table

Do they have a way to mount it high over the livewell on a Seafarer 228? Find the cutting board is easy but the mounting at 40 " is the tough part it seems with off the shelf parts.

    Bait Table / Fillet Table

Thanks for posting all the great ideas above. Still trying to figure out how to do this and make it look good. Seems like I have to spend ALOT of money to do it right. Or weld aluminum.... I actually want it at a comfortable working height or it's not worth doing. My dad can weld but trying to...

Then I cut a big hole in the deck

Looks great. I may have to upgrade to that hatch someday. Just loving my storage too. I keep it full of important stuff that change by what kind of boat trip I'm doing. Thanks for posting.

    More prop talk Seafarer 228

I would have to disagree. I think you’re taking it personally Dennis. If you look at his question he asked for Seafarer owners with similar motors. You chimed in with a different boat and a two-stroke. if you think a two-stroke has the same torque as a four stroke and other models/brands have...

Harsh? Level of experience? Not sure what you mean there. i’m talking about observations of prop performance. Nothing harsh about it. Just a fact.

    More prop talk Seafarer 228

Bazzturd, out of all these comments only you and I have the same motor/boat/prop combo and the exact same experience. I woulding put much stock into comments from people with different motors/boats and the same prop. apples to oranges.

    More prop talk Seafarer 228

I can comment as I've tried your exact same prop with the same boat/motor. (Power Tech OFS4 15.25 x 15 (per prop gods)). I tried it once. Had your exact same experience. The pitch is too low. I took it off immediately. Yes it's better traction but I'd like to try a 16 or 17 p to run it. I was...

Then I cut a big hole in the deck

Great Post pics once you get it. I've just loved my new storage this season. Don't know how I ever did with out it. My stern anchor BBQ, life raft, buckets etc. Bigger would be even better.

    Advice on raising scuppers?

Agreed! I learned the hard way but not the hardest way! People always ask me what to look for in a Grady and I say the scuppers but I mean the hoses.

    Couple of motor bracket questions

How'd the water get into your bracket? Seal at transom or the lid is more likely the issue than the plug. Consider filling bracket with fresh water to test the plug and boat side seal. Like should be rebedded anyway. If the same guy who put your transducer on sealed anything else check it...

    Speaker options

Doubt you'll be able to hear the music while running. If that's important to you, consider mounting them from hardtop. But at anchor I bet you can hear them just fine.

Help Identifying Proper Grady White Blue Color

Hi guys, I searched for this and found nothing but I bet someone knows. I'm getting some boat names printed and want to match the same color of the Grady blue stripes and logo. Struck out the first time ordering their darkest blue. They say I can customize if I know the color code Grady uses...

    Cut, buff, wax.

Yeah amazing new products and learning out there. It was interesting to hear about how short the life of carnuba wax is. Obviously things last longer up north with less sun exposure than compared to Florida so a year up north is probably a month in Florida!

    Cut, buff, wax.

Guy, wax is really old school, doesn’t last very long in the sun. Deatailers use sealers no they will keep it cleaner and protected much longer like up to a year. According to drakes detailing this is one of the best. https://amzn.to/39X7PRN The next step up is ceramic coating which is very...
