whatever you choose, do NOT choose a push to talk. you want an open line. your wife will need both hands when handling lines & walking/climbing around the boat, and you want both hands for wheel and throttles.

seems to be a chase with a fisherman name put on it. probably when they were re-doing their naming convention. if you go to GW website and look up the manual for a 2011 273 fisherman, it brings up the manual for the chase.

on the scale of "bare bones tough as nails fishing boat" to "wine cruise and sand bar", scout is closer to the latter. the grady will be tougher & stronger and be a more timeless design. the scout will be fancier and trendier.

in this case, a good thing. the chase model tends to sit low in the back, many with the deck drain through hulls at or slightly below water level. i suspect the vast majority of the reason yours sits high is due to the single engine.

the OP was near Annapolis which is located in the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. the upper bay is only about 5-10 miles wide. that area is over 100 miles from the ocean

i dont think a mat is going to keep your decks clean. the only way to do that is to have a no shoe policy. thats what i do and it works

just keep in mind that that is a cosmetic upgrade only. the old plastic drains are still likely brittle, and the hoses themselves likely are quite deteriorated
