It's an odd set-up. Before I replaced the fuse, the gauge did everything it was supposed to, like change mode etc., but the tach set on "0". Once I replaced the fuse, the tach started reading rpm. I'm not sure where the power was coming from but some things it's easier to just accept and move on.

If the plug is clean due to water intrusion, then the top of the piston in that hole will be clean also. The problem with a fish box there, is if you use gravity to drain it, it has to go in the bilge. That's a disaster. The other option is a macerator pump. It never gets it all, so you always have cleanup and stink. Macerators are troublesome. That space though, is very useful as storage.

Well, I finally got the light bulb turned on......you cannot Renew till you are within 60 days of expiration. Mine expires in March, so I have to wait till mid-January to Renew. I just thought I would renew at the same time I put new batteries in, but the two things aren't related.
