    Transom Construction

Your stringers are shot along with the transom. The reason you have movement in the transom is the stringers are wet and separated from the transom. The two outer stringers carry most of the load. These are impossible to get to. They run to the left and right side of the battery and forward to...

    192 Tournament 2000

I don't know the boat. Gravity can be a bitch though! GW would have never shipped a boat this way. Something is changed/different.

    192 Tournament 2000

The cockpit deck and drains are/should be above the waterline. The drains connect with a short hose to a below the waterline fitting with a rubber flapper. If your cockpit deck and drains are below the waterline when sitting and the hoses are good it is possible water could come in thru the deck...

Passenger Seat 285 Freedom Actuator Issue

Does the actuator travel the full length forward/backward? If it does then the seat is mounted incorrectly. GW should be able to tell you the manufacturer. There are not that many companies that make seats like your. Get some Google searches going and find out.

Passenger Seat 285 Freedom Actuator Issue

If you have the manufacturer of the seat I would call them. GW Customer Service should be able to tell you that. My guess is that the actuator has to be aligned with seat when it is assembled. Something like actuator all the way forward or backward.

    100 mA relay 12Vdc

My problem is when something starts beeping at the helm I can't tell what unit the alarm is coming from! Could be a Yamaha engine alarm, a Garmin alarm or an Icom radio alarm. On my high water alarm I installed a bell type. It would be great if the manufactures made them settable.

    100 mA relay 12Vdc

Looks like it's for anchor radius. Anchor Alarm on a Garmin Marine Device Several Garmin chartplotters allow a user to set an anchor drag alarm to sound when the vessel exceeds a specified drift distance while anchored, this is especially helpful anchoring at overnight. It is important to know...

Condensation dripping on fuel tank fittings

It's not all condensation. The pie plate access ports are leaking. If liquid is discolored it's probably a rotted deck panel (leaking coffee colored water from deck core). Pull the ports out and caulk them in with 3M4000. Then replace the o-rings. Use a good grease on the o-rings. I also put a...

    Transom Construction

We are talking about two different things. The “bang cap” is non-structural trim to seal the top transom edge. The other is the structural aluminum imbedded inside the transom. This runs the width of the transom and includes mounting for the tie down rings. Look at photos in post #3.

Port Engine making clicking sound but not starting

I came back on one engine one time because the engine would click, engage starter and not crank. Was a loose nut on engine cable ground (not that loose!).
