    casting platform

HDPE and PVC board are both widely used for this purpose - hence the reason I mentioned it :) The only structural area of concern is the middle area between the seats. But the ideas I mentioned above will solve that (and have solved it). And I'm sure there are other good ideas.

    Replace rear sink faucet?

Yup - like a basin wrench.

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

I always enjoy PF's stuff... moreso if he would stop yelling From "what I know" (which is sometimes not that much), 360 is more like Startron and less similar to RF+. Many years ago, Startron was the first company (Star Brite) to come out with a stabilizer that also fights ethanol. Soon other...

    Gulfstream 232 trailer suggestions

I didn't look at the doc, but whenever I size a trailer for a boat for a customer, the "bow eye to transom" (not a swim platform) is one of the key measurements.

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

RF+ doesn't stablize fuel - which is the main reason I also use Startron. :p I'm not sure about the Startron vs hose tests PF did and their actual accuracy. I've been using Startron in ALL my gas stuff for proably 20 years with no issues. I use it in chainsaws, weedwackers, lawnmowers, a...

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

Very intersting, Fam! Thanks! I will definitley put more thought into Tech vs RF. My experience (about 7 or 8 years now with the Star/RF) has been nothing short of "very happy"- fuel is alway super clean when I check it by draining the VST and the O2 sensor is nice and clean, too... so much...

    Replace rear sink faucet?

And... there are nicer faucets to replace that. I had a similar setup on my Sundancer and went a high arc faucet. It was much nicer to use.

    Replace rear sink faucet?

Oh, I thought you were there at the boat. It'll make more sense when you're there. You've got a bunch of ideas to think about. Things like this typically aren't all that bad once you get eyes on it.

    Replace rear sink faucet?

All of the things? Doesn't the cup holder help - that looks like some really nice extra access for a second hand. Fridges aren't too hard to remove. Sink removal?

    casting platform

Is this to be aesthetically pleasing or just functional? Could be as simple as a couple pieces of plywood. You could put some neoprene strips (or anything similar)on the bottom side... or even go crazy and cover it in carpet. You could also epoxy the wood (and, if you wanted, use some glass)...

    Replace rear sink faucet?

Yeah, working on boats is often a testament to your yoga skills! What you're dealing with is very basic plumbing so that part is easy. As you said, it's access - without being there and seeing things in person I can't fully comment, but it sounds like you found your access point. BUT... I see...

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

Yes, I am still using the XD100 with happy results - I use it in my mother's GW, too - she has a 150OX66. I also use Startron and RingFree religiously. I would LOVE to find an alternative to RF - I'm convinced of it being a good product... I just think it's excessively expensive. I'd read...

    Replacing Faux Wood Cockpit Trim

Don't worry about getting to HD, Robert - same stuff at Lowes - just a different name on the tag. To your point about HDPE (starboard is a brand name), I remember many years ago when it really "hit the scene" for things like this and it was the cat's meow... until people started having...

    Replacing Faux Wood Cockpit Trim

Thanks, Robert. Maybe you're right? I don't understand why, though. I don't think anything I said attacked him or was rude in any way? Maybe he didn't read every post, either - early on I suggested PVC board as an option - it all comes down to "to each their own". It just wouldn't be my...

    Replacing Faux Wood Cockpit Trim

Ummm... who are you talking too? The OP from over a few months ago? You seem agitated. Why? If it's PVC I don't need to drive anywhere - I'm very, very familiar with it from house building/repair

    Replacing Faux Wood Cockpit Trim

I would assume, based on buying it at a box store, that composite = PVC board. But I don't think that's what is used by GW? You can't really finish edges nicely and I've only ever seen stark white there. But hey - it's all about what floats our own boat, right? All that matters, in the end...

    Additional Electrical Circuit

100% agree with that! One little "mostly" broken wire inside a connector that you can't see makes for a big headache. Mostly broken is worse than fully broken!

    Bow Rail Segmented?

'Nother idea.... lifeline netting. You'd need to add the ring fitting at the base of each stanchion and the aft end, but it wouldn't be a big job, at all. You might even find these in a clamp-on style.

    Bow Rail Segmented?

OK, gotcha. So I'll just throw out some food for thought - although maybe you've already eaten this sandwich and didn't like it.... "If it was me"... -- I probably wouldn't mess with altering the existing one since, at some point, I might want to put it back on.... either for my benefit or to...

    Bow Rail Segmented?

It doesn't look all that high to begin with... if you're going to lower it, maybe you don't even really need it based on how you use your boat? Just a thought... try naked for a while - maybe you'll like it!
