Any 330 owners have a Good F850 windlass

Can't comment on the good windlass, but I have experienced the same problems and went to 8 plait. Better but still not great. I think the issue is the drop. Grady moved it further back in later years so there is a greater vertical drop. If I have a lot of line out I have to regularly move it...

    33’ Express questions

2007 with F250's. Plenty of power, planes off fine, runs faster than most inboard boats of this size. F300's might be nice, F350's are great (in terms of pwer) but problematic.

Pressurized Water and hot water System

People, this could be the most frustrating conversation I have had on this forum in 10+ years: THERE IS NO DOCKSIDE HOOK UP ON GRADY WHITES, AT LEAST THROUGH 2007.

Pressurized Water and hot water System

can you tell me what grady you had with a hookup? None of the models I owned have had one. My 26 ft searay did but none of my gradys. I would love to hear what ones do model and year.

Pressurized Water and hot water System

#1) I have never owned a Grady that had a water hookup and I have owned a 24, 28, 33, 30, and now a 33 again ranging from 1988 to 2007. If they have that, my guess is it is on a newer boat than 2007. 2) If the water pump comes on intermittently, it is a leak and in this case, it sounds like...

Pressurized Water and hot water System

Fill tank to eliminate possibility of low water, then check screen on input side of pump to make sure it is not clogged (either one will cause a continuous pump situation because it is not getting enough water supply to build up enough pressure to shut down). if it is not either of those two...

    Comparing 330 Express Years 2004 and 2008

There are a lot of nice upgrades for the 08 and newer, but gen access isn't a big deal for me. just put the corner screws in (if any screws at all) and lift it out instead of hinge. Same access.

Islander 38, Post some pictures of your mods to get gen access.

    Comparing 330 Express Years 2004 and 2008

That '06 is a gem, great find. I owned an '06 which I regrettably sold and regretted it enough that I bought an '07 to replace it. These are, by far, the best overall express one can own. The inboard diesels might be better strictly for canyon runs/fishing but they can't trim the motors up...

    Comparing 330 Express Years 2004 and 2008

They have higher resale since they are the latest model with many upgrades. I own a 2007 because I can not afford a newer boat. If I could, I would enjoy the upgrades (step up into the v berth, higher windshield, gen access, wood cabinets, etc). For generator access, I usually leave my access...

07 330 Express...Generator hatch water issues has anyone noticed where the water drains to?

    3) since they originate at a level higher than the waterline, you could cut a new hole in the hull and use gravity to drain (just like the cockpit drains do, eliminating need for a pump.

07 330 Express...Generator hatch water issues has anyone noticed where the water drains to?

    1) you could get longer drain hoses and run them into the center, like I did. 2) if you go sump route (which seems like overkill to me, you could T the hose into the bilge drain hose, after the loop which prevents backflow.

Trim Tab Zinc on 2009 330 Express

None on mine, 2007, but the Yamaha zincs are close by and I would hope would handle the job. Never had an issue. Not on this boat, a 2006, a 2000 Marlin, and a Sailfish I had.

Converting ladder from old style to new on 2002 330

Except there is no underneath to a Grady eurotransom platform. Where would you mount it?

I'm thinking about purchasing a 2019 Marlin 300 and would love feedback from current or former Marlin owners

Hey Ken, It seems your decision is well thought out. I was a 330 owner, then a Marlin owner, then a 330 owner again. My thoughts: I found the visibility to the right front to be pretty bad in the Marlin with the vent window line, pipework line, canvas line, etc. The vis on the Express is...

    Tilt hydraulics leaking - Fix

So the question becomes not whether it is a band aid (it is if your unit already leaks) but rather: if my unit is in perfect running order, is there any negative to running the thicker fluid. Will it perform/last as long as running the thinner hydraulic fluid. If the answer is yes, then it...

    Recharging House Battery with Outboards

It sounds like everyone is getting too deep into this. You buy the yamaha aux cable, it comes with an inline fuse, you connect it to the motor and then the battery. Done.

    Recharging House Battery with Outboards

I would recommend speaking with Andy at SIMS (shipyard island marine. He would know and would supply you with the part.) Similar question on the hull truth: https://www.thehulltruth.com/sim-yamaha-verado-club-parts/493682-aux-charging-lead.html This is either the part or a similar one for a...

    Recharging House Battery with Outboards

Yamahas have the ability to run a second charging wire off the engine (at least me HPDIs do). I have the second lead charging my house, located under my center console on my Regulator with an additional start battery for each engine.

    Bilge water in new boat

I have never owned a Grady (5 of them now) or heard of a Grady that didn't accumulate water in the bilge (midship). I know they shouldn't but they all seem to.
