Beware of this case of credit card fraud.

The shear number of scam sites and scammers are possible because the biggest companies on the planet don't see the need to invest resources to stop it. It doesn't hurt the tera-corps enough to matter. The platforms they profit from are the breeding ground for these dirt bags. The dirt bags are...

I hear you. However, I think it has become more civil compared to 10+ years ago.

THT off the rails? You should have seen what it was like 10 years ago! In case my interpretation is incorrect, how do you define "off the rails"?

Beware of this case of credit card fraud.

Last week I decided to use Flakebook/Fakebook to shop for a pool table. Went to the address provided to check it out. Homeowner answered the door. She knew nothing about a pool table and never owned one. My wife reported the seller to Flakebook control HQ (sarcasm). The response was that the...

Beware of this case of credit card fraud.

Thanks for the tip. In my life, I have never seen it as bad as it is today with the number of scammers out there. I can't help but think this could easily be shut down, but the scam "industry" seems to not be a priority for anyone to stop. Sad times.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

I can't help but think buying twin Mercs would result in further discounts. When I 1st asked for a quote for my engines, the price was out of line compared to the best prices in Florida. I politely told the dealer that if he wanted to sell engines, he needed to be at least $5k lower to be...

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

In that case, go with the 225s. Save some weight over the v6 aps, and a decent chunk of $$.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

Does it bug you to constantly have to sync engines manually? Does the lack of precision around the dock piss you off? Do you plan to keep the boat for more than 7 years? $6k is a lot. I think on the 4 cylinders the total difference was about $2k for twins. I would think rigging digital would be...

Download your owners manual from the Grady site. It will have the instructions for your model. Ironically it's great reading material for your house throne!

    New Costal explorer 321CE

Oh I get it. They do market studies to understand where to invest for a payback. If I lived in an area where I rarely went to open water unless weather was good, I could see the appeal. Apparently enough people are all about having the perfect sized tool for the job.;)

    New Costal explorer 321CE

Maybe I need to spend time "coastal exploring", but I don't get it. It's a chopped down canyon that makes it easier to fall out of and rides worse (16⁰ dead rise). All to save 2" of draft. I guess for some people 2" really matters.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

Wait to see what skunk has to say or look up his posts. I'm confident you can beat 1.3. I can get 2.3 all day with any load in any conditions. Light is 2.5 and that's around 7800 lbs. You won't wear out a df200.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

If propped correctly with the right pitch and prop type, it won't matter. Doing a Google search revealed there are a couple people that have put df200s on 272s. I didn't look much beyond that. If top end doesn't matter, my only other concern with the df200s is fuel burn. It likely won't be any...

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

Remember, it's not just one buddy on the transom, it's a buddy on the transom and at least one more at the back of boat. That tells you what should more realistically expect. Counter weight in the bow can help, but at some point a lot of bandaids can't fix everything.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

If you don't mind mechanical twins, then stay with mechanical. I've had both and didn't like mechanical from the getgo. Docking and syncing engines with electronic controls is night and day better. Suzuki doesn't have 225 digitals because it is an old platform not designed for digital. The 4.0...

    Trailering

I had a single engine 248 without a hardtop. The hull is very similar to your 257. It weighed around 5500 lbs fully fueled, watered, etc. I towed thousands of miles over 10 years with 2 different f150s. Both were specially equipped for max towing per engine type. One was a 2.7 ecoboost, the...

    Water in Sailfish

I've been chasing this on my boat. It only happens when it's choppy. I suspect it is water coming back in through the rear bilge line from the boat rocking in the chop. Another member here with a newer Sailfish experienced this problem one time when navigating the great loop. Turns out that one...

What model Grady White do you own?

Looks like you got a very well optioned boat. At 23' your boat has to be the smallest I have seen on this forum with a thruster. Consider starting a new thread with photos and details of the set-up. I as well as others will likely be curious and will have questions.

HPDI 200 - how smooth should it run at low RPM?

FWIW, I also ran Pennzoil from Walmart in the before mentioned ox66. It seemed to like it. With Techron Marine, the engine ran incredibly well and stayed clean like Dennis's experience with Startron and Ringfree. I bought Stabil Marine 360 2 years ago for the Zukes. It looks similar to the...
