I am not sure if bypassing/removing the low pressure fuel pumps is a good idea. As long as they are in good shape, they aren't a big deal. They do need to be replaced but usually last many years. The original pumps had weaker diaphragms than newer replacements.
My concern is too much pressure...
I used to partake in THT years ago. These days, I only read THT threads that were mentioned regarding specific searches. I used to think the site was worthless. My opinion now is that there is some good detailed info but it is buried in a ton of garbage. You have to do a lot of filtering and...
That loop between the inlet and outlet is strange. My guess is that the fittings are check valves and the loop passes gasoline when the primer bulb or motor fuel pumps 'suck' gas.
I also thought that the devices were related to some sort of fuel flow monitoring sensor but that seemed less...
I think those are lift pumps but I am not sure why you would have them with OX66 motors that have their own low pressure pumps.
The second pic is the overboard discharge/pump out selector valve. Normally it should be in the pump out position and either disabled with a lock, a tie wrap, or by...
Scamming and hacking are big businesses, large scale well organized operations based in in foreign countries. Of course there are many US based small scale operations in the US and I suppose we do as much hacking of foreign infrastructure.
I am pretty careful with security but I had my credit card info stolen and used for fraudulent charges.
I should have known better.
I was looking for some boat parts and I stumbled upon two websites that had the parts heavily discounted. That was the first red flag.
When I checked out of the...
Note that the degree spec is the place where there is a detent in the hinge that 'holds' the door at that position. It is best to approximate what you need, bigger( greater angle detent is not necessarily better. If you pick an angle that is greater than he door normally opens ( and perhaps the...
95% Shape is an odd way to describe a boat. Makes me wonder what the other 5% is:)
The boat on the trailer is not bottom painted so I assume it is an older photo but there is no explanation for why the hull was bottom painted last July.
Zuke warrantees are 5 year so the motor was installed in...
I wonder if the 1994 date is actual calendar or is it model year? A 1994 boat could have been built in 1993. The HIN would help make that determination.
There is a possibility that the boat might have a SV2 decal on the windshield. Of course that isn't 100% definite, the decal could have been...
In all likelihood, the gel coat won't be a perfect match since the hull and deck have been exposed to sunlight for a long time and the original will have faded. There are videos on the web that show how to make a decent color match but it can be labor intensive. If the areas you want to match...
Was/is there a scoop for the ol livewell? If so, it would have a seacock on iy already. I'm a bit confused.
Here is a link to an article about livewell pump sizing and other good info.

Has the boat always listed or is this something new? Some boats list.
The "Port side holds water' statement can mean different things. For example, if the boat lists to port, water that might normally drain into the bilge can't due to the list. How do you determine that there is water pooling...
I 'accidentally' deleted my earlier response so in summary, the picure in the OPs post is a porta potty style MSD. I had the same in my 208. If the OPs MSD is held down to the deck with brackets on the sides, that would confirm my assumption.
The size of the pump is related to the livewell size which you know and the type of bait you want to use it for. Too big a pump and some baits can drown. Too small a pump and bait can suffocater. Google for live well changes per hour and go from there. It is possible that the live well feed was...
