    Bildge Odors 330 Xpress

The waste hoses may not leak fluid but vapors when they get old. So a color test may not reveal a bad hose. If that id the odor and it is easy!!!! To replace hoses just do it. Now assuming the boat is over 15 years old. Otherwise just us those left over Covid ..... not really. h

    Question about manual flush toilet

I guess it is a Jabsco manual pump then. And as others have said u need the seawater for the pump to work. the Electric vacu flush ones (it looked like it was an option for the boat) work differently, they get pressurized water into the bowl by lifting foot pedal, and then after u r done you...

    Not enough power?

If the motor revs that high the prop should push you faster. If the motor revs that high doesn't mean the prop is turning. You said they verified that the hub was not slipping. Something is fishy. Can you Detect cavitation? Meaning prop is not gripping as the water is "boiling" around it. I...

    Question about manual flush toilet

Are you sure the vacu-flush uses salt water? Mine uses fresh water from the tank and the fresh water pump has to be on to feed it with water? Do you have a macerator that allows for emptying out at sea? Or is only emptied through a onshore vacuum system through a deck access cap? In any case use...

2004 33 Express Cruiser Twin 2015 300 HP Yamaha VERY HARD STEERING

At what speed is it not tracking? Low or higher speeds? If it at higher speeds it seems something is moving the motors, ie not holding them in place. Any loose mechanical connections ? Have you tried to use the trim tabs to stable it? On one engine boats it is a real headache at low speeds and...

TV antenna for 335 and TV for outdoor use?

I planned on mounting TV antenna (not factory optioned) on port side of hardtop where I currently have a WiFi antenna (not in use) . Looked at how to get cabling down to Helm area where I have TV mount just above cabin (not inside). Ended up scrapping idea and have a "mobile" antenna now sitting...

    Mounting radar on hardtop "hump"

Ok, I don't have an overhead box at all, all is in or behind the dashboard. And of course the chases are jam packed. A 335 so some goes into or through cabin and head. I'll work it out one day but for now TV antenna is "movable" sitting on cushion on top when in use. See other post as well. H

    Mounting radar on hardtop "hump"

Looks good. How did you snake the wiring down? That seems like the hardest thing and I gave up on installing TV antenna for that reason. H

    bolster foam

The monel staples may be hard to find. Don't remember where I got mine but that was only one size and now I would get some other sizes to stock up as well. Any suggestions for source (have not looked around at all) found some on Amazon but they are of course marine priced. H

    Electric lounge seat

Usually if they seize all you need to do is to free it up bath it in a penetrating oil bath and scrub with heavy duty brush or artificial steel wool etc. but not steel as it would easily "shed" and that rusts immediately. As long as the motor is working the screw can most of the time be easily...

    Hypothetically..would you rather

Good questions, one being 56 is no age for "my last boat" I am 72 and traded boats for a bigger (lot smaller than I once had) now GW335. Not big difference to previous 31ft Pursuit but the BEAM is the main advantage making it a lot more stable end enjoyable for cruising with people. Main...

    Sea Star Steering Troubleshooting

Actually, Suzuki may have double rotation twin props, they would neutralize the steering to be the same in both directions I think.

    Sea Star Steering Troubleshooting

Remember that the motor is going to be harder to steer in one direction than the other. Prop turns one way and there is a fin normally as anode on motor cavitation plate which is adjustable to neutralize the prop induced force. If it comes loose or gets pushed over it may change the behavior...

2004 33 Express Cruiser Twin 2015 300 HP Yamaha VERY HARD STEERING

Is the pump running, it sounds like you lost the power part of steering if there is a hydraulic pump in the system. I f the pump is not running then the steering would be hard and it would be a significant difference to the normal force needed to steer. Check the pump first (and of course if you...

What's on your list for winter projects?

Agree, get out there and the list will grow or be taken care of right away........ enjoy the boats. ps I decided to get some custom covers made for the boat (simple stuff) delivery time 3 months!!!!!!!!!! So much for enjoying them this summer.

    Charging a battery

Hmm, that made me wonder. I would have assumed that both batteries always are charged when running the engines. All motors have alternators I assume so in my case there are three of them. On AC charger side there are several outputs from charger so essentially one for each battery bank (group)...

    265 Capsized of Jersey Coast

So what is the buoyancy of the boat waterlogged? It obviously flipped and the seas were not that high so something else must have contributed to the capsizing. Or then the boat does not sink but does not offer "comfort " when upside down, noting to hold onto as only the bow was visible. We...
