    Perko Masthead Light Flickering

The Perko light on my 265's hardtop has been flickering on and off. I replaced the bulb to no avail. The socket the bulb plugs into seems loose in the pole and I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Anyone have this issue and successfuly fix it before I start trying things? Thanks, Bill

    Vensura Props / Mirage + 265EXpress

The fuel management gage may be off. The only way to really know what you're getting for mileage if to compare miles run with actual fuel burned. First trip offshore this year we ran 164 miles and the fuel management gage said I burned 116 gallons. When we fueled up it took 91 gallons so I...

Saw a Chesapeake last year in Greenport. Older couple out for a cruise with the grandkids by the looks of it. No rocket launcher, no outriggers - nice boat but not for me

265Express owners - prop tweaking for better MPG's

I have a set of Mercury Mirage Plus 18's on my 265 with F225's. I average around 1.7 mpg with these props and a couple other guys plus gear. On the way back from Niantic last week I had it running at 6000 rpm with both engines and 46 mph for a mile or so. This was by myself and about 190 gals of...

raymarine c series radar - which one?

Like anything else with radar, you have to experiment with the settings to figure out how your unit should be adjusted

raymarine c series radar - which one?

It depends on what you're going to use it for. If it's only navigation, I would buy the 2kw radome. If you want to locate birds etc with it for locating fish you need the 4kw.

I put mine on the starboard side of the transom. Not into big names on the side of boats. It looks good there. I have a pic somewhere I'll post when I find it

    Grady 226 or HydraSports 2200vx

My buddy has a HS 29 CC. I don't think the quality is up to GW standards and the Seafarer is one of the best all around boats GW has ever made.

No, raising the engines on my boat always results in increased speed. There always seems to be some new combination of wind, seas and tide though.

how do i find my boats value?

Agree with the statements above but get at least 3 quotes talk to the agents and compare coverage. A lot of agencies offer boat insurance but have no idea what they should cover in your boating area. Give Seahorse Underwriters a call. They have good coverage, prices and knowledgable agents...

265 Owners - Show me Your Helm!

The install was done by a pro. It's screwed in from the backside and caulked. The bottom edge is beveled to match the angle of the instrument panel. I knew it was going to be tight and wanted it done right so I paid to have it done but the money I got for the old electronics pretty much covered...
