Found my manual. It's a 29090-2000 and is self-priming so I guess I need a seal assy on the pump handle. Do I have to get Jabsco parts direct from them?

I put $1000 down on a brokered boat last spring prior to sea trial. This is a good faith thing but I don't see why 10% is reqd.

It's a raw water feed. It sounds like I have to start pulling hoses. Not looking forward to it

The head on my 265 isn't pulling in water the last couple times we used it. Seacock is open and the lever was flipped over but nothing comes up. It will drain but had to put some freshwater in to rinse it down. Any ideas on this? Bill

If you like the boat as much as you say then you should probably try to bump them up another couple grand just to see where they'll go with it then settle. Either way, Good Luck! I'd hate to be in that position. Bill

IMO it's worth 5k just to put a number on it. But, if you put another 600 hrs on them (150 x 4) how marketable is the boat then with 2k hrs on the engines? Just another way to look at it. If they argue with the 5k just say I'll drop it off for you to re-sell.

The prior owner rarely used the FW on my boat so the tank has a lot of green slime in it. Would the bleach clean this out? I was actually thinking of pulling the tank out to flush it but maybe this is the thing to do.

I think this highlights how hard it it to shop for a used boat. Some people just go out and buy the first one they see but others analyze every detail and it can get painful. That being said, if it were me I'd offer 71.5k for the '05. When you get that close there's always some middle ground...

Just the fact that it's year newer is proably worth 4-5k. Lower hours are worth something too. Maybe 8-9k difference in value.
