I'm using Tonic Sunglasses. They are photo chromatic, polarised in a copper tint lens. They are also prescription. They really accentuate the colors on the MFDs and are much easier to see the screens than my last pair. There are a lot of good fishing glasses out there.

I would put a stainless steel plate where the big chip is because otherwise the chain will continue to chip the gel coat.

My Loadrite trailer for my 228 came with 1/2 inch chain.

I use Rip Charts premium. It has sea surface temp, altimetry, currents, chlorophyll, true color which are the main things I use. Also salinity, sub-surface temps, SST forecast and bathymetry. You can add waypoints. Does all I need it for.

At that age I would think that the spots are etched into the glass. I have tried buffing. Also used bronze wool. (Don’t use steel wool. You will end up with rust spots everywhere) Slight improvement but once it’s etched there’s not much you can do. There are glass polishing compounds. I haven’t...
