    282 sailfish underwater lights?

I had 2 a12s installed a few years back. They are above the tabs on my 300. Look awesome.

    305 Express vs Marlin

I much prefer the 300 for my usage but there are owners and fans of both models on this site. My pros for the Marlin are: O better helm access O helm layout O more cabin headroom O more light in cabin (2 windows) O much larger cockpit O larger overhead box O better bow access O hardtop rod...

Hard starting when hot - 1998 Yamaha 225's

IIRC the company was barrier, GW customer service will know. I knew of several boats in the Wilmington area affected.

Hard starting when hot - 1998 Yamaha 225's

Not sure if this applies but there was a run of defective fuel hose around this time. My 1997 272 was affected. It only showed for the first time on a hot summer day. The hose would constrict and starve the engine. All hoses were replaced by the builder and paid by the hose manufacturer...

    Canyon 336 2012 "La Mia"

Congrats on a gorgeous boat. I like the second logo because the fish makes it a tad difficult to read the name on the first one.

Grady White Craziness on the Hull Truth...

"if you are seen too often arguing with fools, others may not be able to tell the difference" I haven't posted on THT in years and rarely even read it. The National Enquirer has more useful information. :nicethread

Are there any differences thru yrs in the 265 Express

The hull went from 21 to 20 degree dead rise (IIRC). GW customers did not seem to like the deeper V. Regardless of what you may read on boating forums, not everyone is willing to trade headsea ride for the roll of 24 degree hulls. The 265 has always had a cult following. Owners love them but...

Who uses Lee's Jr. on their ~27' cuddy?

My 2004 Marlin has 19' lee jrs. I love them and much prefer these to top mounts. Mine are double rigged with the Hatteras style cleat for tension.

    radar 36 vrs 48

The range is a marketing point. It is easier for folks to equate with higher cost. The real benefits as you increase price are power, beam width, and sometimes features. Wider arrays give lower beamwidth which leads to better separation of targets. Think flood light vs spotlight. More power...

    dreaded headliner crack

I just got mine back from a headliner repair. My guy took it into the shop on a trailer since it does indeed take some time. It should be done by someone who is experienced and under factory guidance. My repair looks terrific. Note GW took care of the entire process on a 8+ year old boat. That...

    FREEDOM 335

While I am a cabin boat die hard, the DC market has clearly been a bright spot in the past few dismal years. GW and Pursuit have strong offerings in this layout style. The 335 far and away leads the field. Unfortunately I didn't get to see it in person as I missed the boat show for the first...

    Raleigh Boat Show

Anyone going to the Raleigh boat show this Saturday? I will be there to harass the GW factory folks and make sure they don't drop my beloved Marlin. (-: I would enjoy meeting other GG members. And Joe, $265 for a 300? Ouch! Megabytes is looking more cost effective every year. I may have to pay...

Yes, the hull was extended under the transom. The Sailfish followed in 98. The marlin is an awesome boat!

    Thinking about a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin Mine turns 8 years old next week so I am jealous. I'll bet that new Marlin just sparkles. Welcome to the GW board and especially the 300 lovers club.

    Marlin 300 Michigan to Florida

My 300 has been roughly weighed with full load and fuel @ 12500. Just be aware you are knocking close to a 12K weight limit if you have most of the options and fuel tanks full.

    marlin vs. sailfish

There are several here, including myself, who have owned both models. They are very similar in design but the Marlin is essentially a larger version. It is really much more boat if you can afford the difference. I found the Sailfish helm a tad cramped but otherwise a fine boat. The Marlin also...
