Grady White Sleeper seat convert to Pedestal?

This is my 215 I ordered from the factory with two deluxe helm seats, one replacing the lounge. I’ve since sold the boat but one buyer wanted to convert it back to a lounge so we looked briefly at how seats were mounted. I would call Grady to confirm, but I think the pedestal base is surface...

285 Freedom on a 10,000lb lift... any issues?

Here’s the specs on Hi Tide lifts. I had one of their gear drive 12,000 lb lifts. Compare their 9,000 and 12,000 structural component sizing to your lift.

    Grady merch

Both my wife and I have t-shirts and hats from “Grady”, as they use a third party vendor. I don’t recall ever being annoyed by order fulfillment time. Standard fare for us for Christmas presents.

    Boat lift dimensions

Grady has that info. Give them a call. What I would usually do is measure the distance between stringers and set my lift bunks to mimic stringer spacing. That has the added benefit of missing through-hulls, as they are obviously not under the stringers. Watch out for stern-mount transducers...

Passenger Seat 285 Freedom Actuator Issue

Shipping from Punta Gorda to cape cod?

Years ago I had a Freedom 225 shipped from Ft. Lauderdale to Charleston and used Caj Flynn on his trailer. It was $1,200. Using a boat transporter I didn’t need another trip down there to load the boat and everything was stowed, hatches were taped down, etc and the boat arrived in perfect...

    VHF Antenna removal

Since you’re replacing the top, cut a section out to reach both the screw head and nuts. Two wrenches to loosen the acorn nut from the other nut. Remove both nuts. Screw acorn nut back on, use hammer to break sealant bond and tap the screws out.

    T-Top Canvas...needs replacement!

Starting with the zip ties is how you locate it correctly in the frame and put tension on it before you start lacing it. I kept a pair of nippers so as I was lacing and encountered a zip tie I could snip them. Lacing By myself, started in the center bow of the top, worked my way down one side to...

    T-Top Canvas...needs replacement!

I no longer have the boat, but here’s a pic of the new top. I did buy it from g2 and went with the Sunbrella Sea Mark. I had the new top back in about a week. They send you enough cord to do the job, too. Plenty of videos on YT on how to lace it. Pretty easy DIY.

    T-Top Canvas...needs replacement!

I did a top on a Pioneer I had. Removed the old top and sent it to a shop where they copied it. Iirc, the shop was in Vermont. I chose an upgraded Sunbrella product that has a rubber backing, so completely waterproof. Maybe took two hours to install the new cover. Put it up first with zip...
